Hi ladies,

Sounds like most of you are extremley busy right about now. I guess that is good because it will make the time go by faster.:dance3: I, on the other hand have pretty much NOTHING to do for the next couple weeks except sit here at the computer :surfweb: counting the days until the CRUISE!!! :hourglass I am a wedding cake designer :stir::cake: here in New York where it is very cold :cold: this time of year. Most brides do not want to get married with it being this way. Although I am doing tastings during this time, they are much easier than doing a full on wedding cake. :bride: So here I sit with my almost 4 year old son:Pinkbounc , who occupys himself pratically all day, at the computer hoping that someone on the DIS board will put up something intresting :scratchin so i can read it. You may be thinking I could be shopping for all odds and ends that I need for the trip. Nope, can't do that beacuse it is already done. :cool1: Maybe I could start packing... nope, it is already done. Maybe I can color corridanate *(sp) clothes... already done.:woohoo: Maybe have a diffrent highlighter for each family member so i can write exactly what each person will be wearing each day at each specific time... DONE!!!! :lmao: Are you getting the pattern? I am a type A personality with NOTHING to do!!!!:scared1: Kind of scary huh. :rotfl: So needless to say, I am bored and it is making time go by soooooo slow. So ladies, be thankful you are completly swamped for the next 2 weeks as it will go by much faster.:laundy: I look forward to meeting you all at 3 pm, promenade :grouphug: lounge on the day we arrive. :cheer2: Until then.... STAY BUSY!!!!!

Jagsandjax.

Your message is so great! I can't believe how organized you are. We are having people stay at our house so I feel like I need to have that completetly spotless. Crazy!

Do you think that your kids will spend some time in the kid center deal? I have a 5 1/2 year old Boy and 4 year old girl and I am unsure if they will like it in there or not. I think they will be in there together so that might help. Would be nice to get some time with just my husband as well. :)

Are you staying somewhere the night before?

Well I better go get my families clothes color coded...

Stay Busy!

It was so funny reading you JagsandJax! :rotfl: Can't wait to meet you! Even though I'm not good at food presentation, your job sounds like a nice one!

But you can't beat us for cold weather! It is 7°F (but feeling like -12°F with the wind). We have received about 128 inches of snow since the beginning of winter and there is a snowstorm warning for tonight! :cold: Do I need to say that I can't wait to have a little glimpse of summer? :sunny:

We are staying at the Best Western near the airport the night before (our plane is coming in at 9:25pm so we're staying in Orlando). It will be our first time there, it seems nice (and we get it free with our Airmiles! :thumbsup2 ).

As for the Oceaneer Club, there is a 3-4 group and a 5-7 group. Some activities are for both groups, some not. I know my son (5 1/2 also) will want to stay with is 3 1/2 little sister. They like to play together and, more important, they both speak French (even if they are used to watching tv in English, a real life situation is never the same). So I wrote a note about it when I registered them online.

On our last cruise (last year), DS went twice to the Club. He liked it a little. DD was in Flounders once and liked it very much. This time, DS thinks he will like it more since his sister will be with him and he will be able to talk with her. After reading about a mom doing this on the boards, I suggested they should go at least once a day, so we can have a little time for us and they agreed to that. I'm planning to have a look at the Navigators with them so they can choose when they want to go. We'll see how it goes once on board... :scratchin

I have to tell you all. I have for the last 25 minutes been writing back to you about your questions. Twice!!! NOT ONCE TWICE did the message NOT go through. 1st time the power went out and I lost it all. 2sn time I sent it to POST and NOTHING !!!! IT WENT BLANK!!! So needless to sayit will tak another 25 min to get it all back. Although it will not be as funny b/c now I have to cook dinner fr my family. But I am not complainign b/c I have something to do. LOL

My boys will be in the clubs, they are very excited. Maybe when we have our meet they will make a connection with all of your children and they will want to go. Why would they want thier parnets hanging around:confused3 :rotfl:

Yes, we are staying at the Hyatt at the airport. As I was writing last time, my door bell rang and guess who was there... UPS. with our docs.:yay: We only got a checklist and travel booklet oh yeah our luggage tags. Nothing special but at least it means it is gettig closer.

I wanted to introduce my self b/c you can not call me JagsnadJax on the ship. :lmao:

My name is Tabatha, I am 32 and I live on Long Island NY "The Hamptons"
My husband Steven is 38 and is VERY LAID BACK!!! (unlike me) LOL

we have 2 boys Jagger is 5 (will be 6 in April) and Jaxson is 3 (will be 4 in MArch) my boys are very shy yet outgoing. Kind of strange. They love to be around other kids. They are the besy of friends which makes mommy very proud:lovestruc

I would love to hear about you and your family. Nothing like calling you guys by your usernames when talking to my husband. I cant call you LOML or Mommyof 1 ANYMORE!!!! I hope this does not break DIS rules as this board has been a life line for me the past couple months. Hope to here from you soon,

Tabatha

Allright Tabatha!

Outside the DIS, my name is Stephanie and I'm 31. My boyfriend of 11 years' name is Daniel, and he is 32. My eldest is Mathieu and he's 5 (6 in June) and his little sister's name is Isabelle and she's 3 (4 in April). They're also best friends. In fact, I had to explain to them that they couldn't get married and have kids together when they're older! :bride: :groom: We live in snowy Quebec City (originally from Montreal).

I called DCL about an hour ago in the hopes of switching to early seating (once again!). No luck! :sad2: I was told to try again in 3-4 days as things can change up to two days before we sail (or try on board). Send me pixie dust! :tinker:

YIIIIIPPPPEEEEEE Soleimagie has a real name!!!!! :thumbsup2

It is sooooo nice to meet you Stephanie!!!!

Did I read correctly, your children speak FRENCH??? Do they speak english as well? I wish my boys had a second language. Here in NY Spanish is going to be a MUST soon. :scared1:

Oh, about the second seating. i think (or hope ) I will like it better. My boys can stay up late with NO problem. That way we can see the shows before dinner. Mommy like to have a little Champagne or wine with dinner and if I sit in a show afterwards... I may fall ASLEEP!!!:rotfl: I had my name taken off the waiting list thinking this is better for us.

because I have been screaming since the UPS left my docs:banana: (No one else is here so I got carried away):woohoo:
I got the same as you Jags, I mean Tabatha. No Bahama documents

My name is Sally, My hubby's name is George. We have 2 daughters (age 24 &20)that are not coming with us, but I will have a picture. We are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. It is the first time we have really done anything special. It is my hubby's first flight, my second, and we have never cruised before.

It is 10 degrees here and snowing again. Can't wait to see the sun...

Is no one reading my posts?

Yes we got our doc too.

CONGRATULATIONS sally and George. 25 years WOW. I am only in my 5th year. God help me make 20 more. :lovestruc :lmao:

Congrats on the docs, all!

I can imagine they'll probably have the Bahamas immigration forms at the dock. Or maybe Telemere's right and the Bahamas isn't requiring them anymore (I read your post);)!

Stephenie--I'll have to brush up on my French so I can ask your kiddos how they're enjoying the cruise! I haven't taken a class since college though! I almost thought of minoring in French but the literature class you had to take to move on to the further levels always was my stopping point. I never was much for literature interpretation or poetry in English so it definitely wasn't happening in French. Unfortunately, you had to take that class before you could take the advanced grammar and vocab classes which is what I was really interested in.

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I'm Beth, I'm 27 and a school librarian in NH. It will be my winter break and I can't wait to get out of the cold and snow. We're supposed to have another storm tomorrow, and I'm almost hoping the day gets canceled as I am sooo behind in everything!

after not receiving my docs in the mail over the weekend I contacted my TA and they said that I should have them by the 18th. I received a email today from fed ex stating that they were shipped today by overnight express so they should be in the mail tomorrow. :rotfl: :goodvibes :cool1: :yay: Its sooo very cold here in Michigan and I am a social worker who works out in the field most of the day so I was traveling around in the snow all day. Tonight we are expecting 4-8 inches, so I am looking forward to this trip very much. Today me and my daughter went out and purchased her princess dress ( Belle ) :cutie:  and finished buying some of our other necessities. I am counting down the days cant wait:dance3: :cheer2:

I finally also received our documents. Glad to have that done. We are just doing the cruise with Disney and then planned other things on our own. Do I need the tags on my bags?? Maybe for when we board the cruise? If I filled out the info on line do I need to do it again on these?

What time are you all getting to the port? Our Hotel has a shuttle and we are able to park our car at the hotel for free for the length of the cruise.

Tabatha, did you schedule any off shore trips? I am not sure what to do with the kids being so young still. Thinking in CC we may just hit the beach however in Nassau, I am not sure right off the beach what there is to do??

:dance3:

I wish I was 1/2 has organized at this point as you!!!

You read correctly Tabatha, my kids speak French, all four of us do. That's why my DIS name is in French (it translates as sunmagic). The kids have been watching TV in English since they were little, so they are used to hearing it and can understand their favorite shows. Mathieu knows how to count in English up to 5. I've been trying to teach them a few basics (what's your name, how old are you, I need to go to the bathroom...), but I'm not sure they would answer. And they know how to sing Happy Birthday! They will start to have English classes when they get in 1st grade. :teacher:

LOML, we plan to get at the port around 10-10:30. We want to be there as soon as possible!

Hi everyone,

Wow, what a winter we are having here this year. It took me 3 hours to get home today when it usually takes me about 1 hour. The snow started to come down quite heavily just before 4:00 pm making rush hour a mess. All I could think about was our upcoming trip.

Looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

In our group there's my wonderful Mom (62), husband (37) but turning 38 on the day we board Feb.24th :cake: me (34), son (11), and son (7). Joining us is my aunt, my cousin, her husband and their son (12)

I ordered the stateroom celebration decorations to surprise my husband for his birthday.

I wish I was more organized and ready for the trip like you Tabatha. I hope everything falls into place the next few days. :scared:

We received our documents today also....Yippee. :cool1: :yay:

I only saw one form (in the ticket book) that was a Embark-Departure form, that looked like it is perhaps some type of customs form, has there been more custom forms than this in the past to fill out?

My DD has also been home sick, went back to school today. Really glad the cruise isn't now. Also I've been checking the weather in the Bahamas this week, not so great.

I have to say I'm a bit nervous, excited and anxious. I also worry about traveling with my DD who has severe peanut allergy and is asthmatic. She's a wonderful little traveler, but you know how we parents worry and prepare just in case. Meanwhile, I'm packing a medicine cabinet full..lol The last time we were in DW 2003, before she was diagnosed w/ asthma she had an attack on Main Street. Fortunately I whizzed her back to our room @ the GF and had brought a nebulizer with us. Not sure if I'm packing it this time we have inhalers now but wow was I glad I was prepared. Sorry for ranting just thinking on page, maybe I ought to call the Dr. and see what he says about bringing the machine....think thats what I 'll do, yes, its on the to-do list.

Tabitha you sound so organized, bless you. If you get extremely bored, I think I could use your help here in NJ to get organized and completely packed..(just kidding of course)...lol. Smiles

Its sure nice to put names w/ screenames...Smiles. Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Getting ready,

Kim, John and Gianna (soon to be 10)
