February 20, 2011 DREAM

I do like the idea of meeting right after muster before the 2nd party, since we don't have to run back to the cabins. :thumbsup2 I'm still looking for my lime green boa. I'll be easy to spot the first day and at the party if I can find it :goodvibes

We will be at the Radisson on the 19th. We will be at the breakfast buffet the morning of the cruise too. Anyone else? Maybe a mini meet? Our shuttle is at 1030, and I got the 1030-11 boarding time.

I am over the top excited!! The usual cruise stuffs are set aside for packing. I didn't start on clothes yet, but I always overpack. So this time I'm really going to try to pack less! :rotfl2:

if your wearing lime green I should be able to spot you then:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes

The last cruise we went on (Thanksgiving 2008) we had the DIS meet in Studio Sea. I can e-mail and see if we could have it in the D lounge. How much time is between the life boat drill and the sail away party?

ETA:Never mind about that idea, there is only 30min between the life boat drill and the sail away party.

Continued 'Meet' strategizing....

Sounds like we are getting close to having some sort of quick meet. I'll scour the pics of the pool/sail away party area to see if there is a landmark where we might want to congregate...even if it is just for a quick hello.

If anybody else comes across a pool pic and identifies an area- great. Maybe we can spend this week scouting pics and come to a decision by the weekend.

I'm thinking that we can chat a bit right before the 4:15 Sail Away party- then join in the party and then maybe chat a bit right after.

I'm open to suggestions!

Oh...find that green boa!! ;) That will be perfect to help identify our group!! :cool1:

We are looking to pack as we leave wed. I have one new pair of black dress pants and a nice black sweater. I have no shoes and everything I try on hurts my feet in the store. I have a pair of black sketcher clogs with fur on the top. My pants are very long and would probably cover the fur without showing. Do you guys think that is ok for dinner? I have another pink sweater and one of those sheer shirts for the other nights. Do you think that is ok or do I have to get really dressed uphttp://www.disboards.com/images/icons/icon11.gif

Perfectly fine. I am sticking to dressy capris and skirts for dinner. I only want to bring one pair of dress shoes so I am trying to coordinate outfits accordingly.

Sounds perfect!:thumbsup2

I've only been on one other 4-day cruise and there was a range of dress. Some people CHOSE to be fairly dressed up on one of the nights but not everybody did.

The black clogs sound fine- plus when you sit down- they will be under the table! Nobody will see them! :rotfl:

Just put your outfit in your suitcase and you'll be good to go! :)

We are only bringing dresser clothes for one night....My DD wants to dress up a little for Tuesday night (she will be 16 that day). Otherwise, we are just bringing the same type of clothing...capris, skirts for girls and the boys have polo type shirts. Last Disney cruise we were on you saw a mix of clothing...some very dressy others casual.

The meet sounds fun if we can find a spot and time. My family will be wearing the same blue t-shirts...Haven't made them yet but its on my list to do!

We leave on Wednesday so I better kick it into high gear here and get packing! I'm on-call today so hopefully I can stay home and get a jump on it!

See you all soon! Julie

I'm not planning to bring too fancy stuff, only thing fancy I will bring is a outfit for palo brunch. Other then that I'll bring capris, shorts, pants, shirts, etc. For me skirts and dresses usually only come on longer cruises

I received an email from Disney yesterday with the following packing suggestions. Seems like we have their blessing to be a little more relaxed in our dress than the longer cruises.

"Packing for Paradise. Here are a few tips on things to bring. For more details, be sure to refer to the Planning Center.
Days
• Casual wear (shorts, slacks, sundresses, jeans)
• Comfortable shoes (sandals, sneakers, boat shoes)
• Beach and pool wear (swimsuits, wraps, t-shirts)
Evenings
• Don’t forget a jacket or sweater. Yes, it’s the tropics, but the nights can be a bit breezy.
• Nice dining attire (no swimwear, tank tops or shorts at dinner, please)
• Optional formal attire
• Themed attire is welcome for Pirates IN The Caribbean night.

yes, 3 and 4 night cruises are more relaxed then 7 night or longer for dinner, besides palo, which is pretty much the same on all the ships

I re-arranged the FE list by room number if anyone else wants a copy:
https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0Avhil7BdNoJhdHNPSEF3VU0tU25vQ0NMWWw1eDhrRWc&hl=en&authkey=COmLjmE

Being the anal person I am I also made a "map" for easier delivery. https://docs.google.com/viewer?a=v&pid=explorer&chrome=true&srcid=0B_hil7BdNoJhMjFhZGZiZWItMDkzZC00MzExLTg2ZGQtYjE3ZTVmYjYyOGQ4&hl=en&authkey=CKbOoNIG

I had a couple questions when I was putting them together.
Spectrum- There a two Stephanies listed for your group, is that correct?

Okay... I saw that you had done this a few weeks ago and didn't open it or print it at the time. I figured I'd get back to it. Just went through pages to find it again (haha-that's what I get for waiting!) and wanted to thank you so much for reorganizing it and making the map!!

Good Morning Fellow Cruisers!!

We leave next Thursday, can't wait!! We will probably go to Universal Studios, Harry Potter on Friday and just relax on Saturday. Anybody have any good plans?

We leave next Thursday too! We don't have any plans for what we are doing Fri or Sat yet. We're staying with my in-laws in Kissimmee. I'm just looking forward to being in "vacation mode" and warmer weather.

If you guys are in US on Friday we should try to have the kids meet up...We check in to the Hard Rock on Wednesday. I can PM you my cell phone # if they want to get together.

That would be great, I will send you mine as well.
My nephew(15), who lives in Orlando, is taking Friday off school to go to Harry Potter with my oldest. I am sure they wouldn't mind meeting up with your daughter and hanging out. Just give me a call and we can coordinate.:thumbsup2

Ohhhhh...I LOVE all the talk of plans for NEXT week!!! :cool1:

We fly out of Hartford, CT on Thurs AM and will be staying at CBR to hit MK, AK and HS before the cruise.

I'm thrilled that we now have a view into the weather for next week and there aren't any major stores brewing (knock on wood) and the temps in FL are for mid 70s and sun on Thurs! YAHOO!!! :yay:

Still have a rather long list of things to do between now and Thurs AM but I know it will all get done!
