Bernards tours.com?

I only see one tour on his website, $40 for several hours, city , shops, and beach. Is that what you mean?

I would enjoy Maho beach.....the plane the plane.

That's the one. They are highly rated everywhere I have looked.

Max, do you mind posting the number of participants in the FE exchange? I really want to order some gifts but I'm not sure how many people/staterooms there will be. Thank you again for organizing this, we really appreciate it:worship:

Does anyone know if the wedding has passed yet? I thought it was at the beginning of October, so maybe they haven't resurfaced yet. I'm so glad to have those wedding days behind me and way far ahead of me! :cheer2:

Paid off the cruise today (huzzah!)...wanted to do our bookings earlier this time (last time I forgot and we ended up eating at Palo at almost ten pm. I was falling asleep in my steak. :-)

We're hoping DCL will still be doing MR cruises in 2013...we want to go again.

Hi, everyone.
Well, went to book our Palo dinner this morning for Valentine's Day, and there was full availability, BUT we saw the the pirate dinner and deck party is scheduled for Valentine's Day so we opted for the 13th instead.

We skipped the pirate party and dressing up on our Dream cruise this past summer as the teens were off with their pals and we already had so much luggage to cart around. I regretted it. We usually have full pirate regalia, and on the Dream had only marginal "pirating". We'll have it this time!

It's finally starting to feel real now that we have reservations!

Hi Skylynx,

Thanks for that info!:thumbsup2

I was hoping for formal night on Valentine's Day...oh well! It just made sense to me.

I need to know where you get Pirate stuff. I know Party City and all that type but was wondering if there is somewhere else that I haven't thought of.

I see you mentioned teens...will they be joining you for this cruise? I have teens also...DD 13 and DS 17. We are celebrating DS graduating from HS. Any tips for cruising with teens I should know about? This is our first cruise so I am clueless. But we are excited, especially the kids. :yay:

Thanks and TTFN
Darlene

We tend to re-engineer our Renaissance Fair clothes for pirating. We got boot toppers that look like long boots (but you really just pull over your own black shoes) from a theater supply store on ebay complete with "gold" buttons for $20. (They are just black vinyl, and pack flat!) I found a peasant-type blouse at Walmart in the regular ladies' department (not costumes), and got our hideous pirate jewelry from the JCPenney costume jewelry clearance rack. You know, big ugly fake gems and clunky metal bangles and garish rings. Items you are not surprised are on the clearance rack. ;-) I made my husband's "pirate capris" but bought his fancy shirt and our lace-up vests at the Ren Fair. Our pirate hats are the floppy brown tricorner Jack Sparrow -type at some Halloween store clearance couple years ago. Bandanas from prior cruises' pirate nights. There are several eBay stores and online outlets for Renaissance Fair clothes, which are often perfect doubles for pirate/wench wear. Some are really reasonable. Search "pirate" or "renaissance" or "wench" or "poet shirt" on eBay and see what turns up! We assembled our costumes piece by piece, but you can do it pretty quickly. Because we have the two really nice vests, you don't even notice how scruffy the rest of our outfits are!

We're not taking the teens on this one...this is our romance cruise. A reasonably sociable teen might well disappear on the first night and rarely be seen again until debarkation day. My kids are joiners, so lapped up every drop of the teen experience. They turned up for dinner with us on the Dream, chatting about their jam-packed itineraries through dessert before bolting off, and that's pretty much all we saw of them. I only saw evidence of what they were doing all that time when they posted the pictures of themselves and their new BFFs on Facebook after the trip! The counselors make great effort to orchestrate the inclusion of kids who are a bit more introverted. I highly recommend, though, teens go to the first night of the teen club activities, because the teen "pods" (as we call them) form then, and after that first night, it will take more effort to join an existing pod.

Checking in, I know it has been awhile. We just got back from Orlando. Now that the weather is getter cooler our weekend bike rides will slow down and stop. Harley will be put into the garage here pretty soon :sad2: We also have a Princess cruise coming up Nov 12th.

I did pick up a pirate costume today... Will be on more now...

Hi everyone! We are a family of 5 in Omaha, Nebraska taking our first big family vacation since we went to WDW 9 years ago. Hubby and I went on a cruise for our honeymoon, Carnival, but haven't been on one with the boys. Our sons are John Paul (16), Alex (13) and Christopher (10). I can't even tell you how excited we all are. I imagine you all know! I'm a nurse, one of my patients told me about this board and I'm looking forward to making some friends, the boys too, before we cruise. I'm also interested in the fish extenders, sounds like a blast! Talk to you all soon, off to do some laundry :o)

Welcome!! I have a good friend that lives right outside of Omaha, in Bellevue. Her husband is in the airforce and stationed there.

Did you happen to see if there were any cabanas still available on the family beach on castaway cay? I'm so hoping there is some availability when we book in a month.

Oops, sorry I didn't see this post sooner :-|. I have to convert the list to Word (right now it's in Works Word Processor, similar to Word but less functionality; I didn't have Word on my laptop when I started it, and sorry to say I haven't converted it yet). I do plan on getting online with Google features to make a spreadsheet, but we're leaving for FL on Tuesday and I just won't have the time until after Tuesday. Hopefully if I have time, I will sit down sometime before Tuesday and at least get you a current count. Do you want gender and age breakdowns, or just total # per stateroom?

Hi Louise.....Welcome! So happy you will be joining us. Sounds like you are certainly due a vacation! :thumbsup2 I know we are all going to have a fantastic time. Are your boys interested in the teen clubs? My kids are but aren't too sure what to expect, but I am sure they will have a great time. My DS is 17 and DD will be 13 at cruising time. Just in case you didn't know, we have a FB page...you should join. The page is February 11 Disney Magic Cruise, it is a closed group so you will need to request to join.
Looking forward to meeting you!:goodvibes

If you can e-mail all the info to me I will get my DH to make up a google doc that everyone can access. This way you won't have to manage the info by yourself and people can add or change things without you doing all the work:)

:welcome: Louise! I am a nurse too, but I am currently homeschooling my son due to his severe food allergies. We are a very friendly group, so don't hesitate to ask if you have questions:confused: The boards can be a bit overwhelming at first (so much info out there) but most of us have done this before and would love to help you out!

I had a few extra moments this morning and went ahead and set up a google doc spreadsheet. Please add any information you see we need to add to it.

Max, I know you are so super buys with everything going on right now. Please let one of us help you...you can email me or stinkerbe11.

Also, for anyone that doesn't know we have a group on Facebook that is usually more active than the DIS board. It is called February 11 Disney Magic Cruise. Here is the link: Facebook Group. Hopefully the link works. Let me know if it doesn't.
