February 11, 2012 Eastern Caribbean on the Disney Magic***

Hi there. We're still going. When I first posted on here, we had not even taken our first cruise, which was back in October on the Wonder from LA to Mexico. We started looking at the forums for both cruises to learn about the FE and so forth. Well, we had a such a great time on the first cruise that prepping for this one kind of fell by the wayside. We did do FE gifts the first time and it was a lot of fun (although more time consuming that I imagined). We know we are too late getting back in the game for this one - but good wishes to everyone participating. If we get inspired, perhaps we'll still bring something to give out, but we don't expect anything back since we are chiming in too late. Looking forward to meeting people at some of the get togethers.

Here is a little on us - Todd and I got married in Vermont in July - and the cruise in October was our Honeymoon. We are both big Disney fans, including running in the Disney marathons and half marathons - just did the new Tinkerbell one in DL. We are currently going thru the process to adopt children out of foster care in Flordia, and we are still going thru the various paperwork and approvals. I'm an architect and Todd has his own IT consulting company. We often wear matching Disney shirts, so its fairly easy to spot us. See you in a week. --Jeffrey and Todd

Hi, Jeffrey (& Todd), it's nice to "meet" you ! Welcome to the group, better late than never!

DH and I are Disney lovers too, cruising without kids because Disney brings out the inner-kid in all of us. I wish you luck on the fostering and adoption (I am an adoptee). Can't comment on anything about running, I try not to do that
We have a very active private group over on Facebook, search for us at https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/220653094632833/ and request to join, very easy-peasy. A bunch of us have seen your names on the google doc but no one has heard from you about participating in the FE, hope you'll still be part of our group meet-up! (Don't worry about the FE, it's totally voluntary.)

We're planning a meet-up on Saturday (embarkation day) at 3 p.m. in the Promenade, don't know exactly where that is, but hopefully I'll find out!

This is my first cruise ever, plus my first time cruising w/ my dh Mark. He cruised once as a teenager, but that was so long ago, I don't count that lol.

Happy to hear you are still joining us. My family loves Disney too! This is our first cruise and we are so excited. Cannot believe the time is finally here. We are celebrating our DS upcoming high school graduation and our 25th wedding anniversary so we are looking to have a great time. Looking forward to meeting you guys on Sat.

Please do put out your FE I have something for you as well. We still need your cabin number!

Only 3 more minutes at work and then I am off tomorrow to pack and my plane leaves at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday - I can't believe my vacation is almost here. Hope everyone else is as excited as I am about the cruise!

Hi guys! Not sure if anyone is checking back on this thread. But I'm trying to keep track of all the scheduled stops on Castaway Cay this year. I haven't been able to find out for sure if your cruise made it's scheduled call. If someone could post or PM me that would be great. If you could remember generally how the weather was, that would be a bonus. Thanks!

We did make it on our scheduled day!
The weather was gloriously beautiful.
I thought the water was too cold, but there were tons of people in the water so it must just be me.
