Page 6.....It seems just like yesterday when there were just 2 posters here....lol...

Yes, the weather here is pretty dismal.....although the temps were great yesterday...just alot ot "London Fog"...lol...While enjoying the new extension to 355....it was pretty bad! (355 is a new portion of expressway)...

I did see a movie called Holiday abt a house exchange....London Couple...as a bonus, you would get a beagle and my mom in the "mothr in law suite" attached to the house!!! lol Both of their barks are worse than their bite!! lol

As we get closer....I know I will be asking questions about packing!! I tend to over pack...especially for the kids!!

Overpacking is my specialty...I tend to way overpack, I'm like well what if this, or what if that, I have gotten a little better, but its still bad.

We have 3 contracts for a total of 850pts...Alot of disney trips there...We started with 200 in Jan of 06, then I added on another 50 right away. Then in October we added on 250 more on the member cruise. Then in Feb 07, Tim's dad purchased us 150 AKV points, and then we did an add-on of 200pts at AKV at the Disneys doorway to dreams opening. So, we are not doing anymore add ons until the last add on is paid for. We are probably looking at 5 years from now!!!! So I hope 850 pts holds us til then!

DD10 Courtney would love all the animals!!! My kids love the Austin Powers movies.....I am just glad they grew out of the phase saying his "catchy phrases"....lol

Sure thing...We like to overpack, so I'm sure it wouldnt be noticed much...For our 7 night cruise this past Sept, I had something like 10 or 12 bags for 5 of us!!! I never heard the end of that one.

Not sure when they have last updated the google earth, but the new expressway opened up Nov. 11, and it was under construction for over 2 years. Its a great new way to access the southwest burbs. What used to take me 25 mins, now takes about 10 or 15...I love it!

Very funny!! I am the type that would want to stay and play tour guide!! lol. I drove my SIL nutty when they came from Northern CA....they are very laid back....and I had itineraries, etc....but in the end, they loved their Chicago visit! We did do alot!!
We did: Shedd Aquarium, Navy Pier, boat ride, Brookfield Zoo (in the suburbs actually)..shopping on Michigan Ave (COACH)..lol...the beach, great restaurants, inc my fave Wildfire....

I have been so excited about our cruise...I kind have not thought abt my mini trip to WDW in a few weeks I will be staying at SSR...I will be shopping at the shops at the Poly for "cruise wear"...!! So we will have a Disney Christmas getting ready for the cruise!!!
Oh, we applied for our passports on Nov 9, just got an email that they have been mailed!!! WOW!
So....we can come to London!!!!

Not sure how much of the board you have read but we are the 'London Couple'. Only ones that we know of from the UK so far, so hopefully some others may join us at some point....

London Couple...that Lakeside shopping area looked verrry nice...especially the Boardwalk area! Oh, did you know that some folks make magnetic signs for their doors??? I am making one for you two....its a surprise! Nothing with your names, etc.....just something I found that would be appropriate I have a few for our doot...there is a thread for this...magnetic door signs....you can always take it home and put it on your fridge! Or do you call it an icebox?? I recall when I was in Greece..(many yrs ago...lol) I spent 2 weeks touring, do my families discontent....but I had noo idea what a WC was!!! lol I learned fast!
Anyway....have a fun weekend everyone!!! W are still rearranging rooms here...not ready for the Christmas tree yet with the little one!! Maybe next weekend!

London Couple...I have extra Pirate and Princess maps and brochures I could send...so at least you can plan ahead, they dont pass them out til you arrive. Not sure how you are abt planning.....I am sure they are not chaning the format or the meet and greets that much!! We went to 2 this year

I just got on and reserved Palo for our last night, along w/nursery time for Ava, also a spa time for DH and I on Nassua day...we are waiting til tomorrow to see what the kids want to do at CC!! Most likely snorkeling ...banana boat ride...I checked Sat nights for openings at Palo and they were there!!

I have read some folks try and book Palo at 75 days and cant cause its already booked!!!

Congrats!!!! Glad to hear that you were able to get in...We decided not to do Palo, because I am an incredibly picky eater, and there wasnt much that I enjoyed about it there. Tim said it was OK to him, but not something that he needed to do. And Good Luck to Jon on getting his Palo reservation!!

Thanks! We wanted to experience Palo once....we were not sure as this is a "Family" crusie for us this time....but we scheduled it late...so we would still "have" dinner with the kids and they could go do their thing...so there will be just 2 times we are "sneaking" away...lol...Sat and Sun for abt 2 hrs or ao...(I am still justifying to myself, can you tell??!!) lol
So Courtney, who will amost be 11 when we cruise is now concerned about meeting kids in the Oceaneer Lab!! I am hoping she will be fine and from what I have learned, the CM's look like they do a good job of doing activities!!

We received our passports yesterday! Although now it looks like they are pushing back again to summer of '08. Well, we have them, just got it out of the way, There will probably be another big back up for the next deadline.

Hoping to hear from the London Couple to see if you got your Palo ressie!!!!

As far as it goes for Courtney being able to find friends in the kids club, she will have no problem...My DD's 11 and 9 didn't ever want to leave...We have given the older the ability to check herself in and out, and she does really good with it, she checks out and pages us to let us know where she is going to be.

And don't feel guilty for booking a couple of meals by yourselves...After all it is your vacation too. This last cruise in Sept was the 3yo's 1st one, we were really concerned because she had never been in a daycare environment(Great Grandma watches her), and she is very clingy when it comes to leaving Daddy! She cried and hid to stay longer when we came to pick her up!!! We felt guilty because she was supposed to be on vacation with us, not the kids club...But she really enjoyed herself, all she asks is when we are going back again.

And if it comes down to the fact that you guys have dinner reservations and one of your kids doesnt want to go to the kids clubs, I'd be more than happy to let them stay with my girls and I and we could go watcha movie or something else.

And last we are on late dining for this cruise...We did main last time, and it was too rush rush for us...So we are going back to late for these 2 cruises, and early for the Members cruise because we have alot of friends on the early.

We have the second dinner seating.

We have booked PALO's!!!!! Hooray!!! Have the last booking time of the day.
Amazed we got Palo's. Only just booked it, someone (DG!!!!!!) received the pack from DCL the other day but forgot to tell me so have spent until now trying to find reservation numbers etc !!!! (good job I am not with her for brains or common sense.)

Thankyou ever so much for what is going to appear on our door!! It is very very much appreciated!!!!!!
