Not too bad for me at all...We have just asked the 2 older girls if they would rather have a present from us for christmas(They will still get gifts from Santa), or go on a cruise, and they agreed the cruise, so we are going to try to book the member cruise for September. I have already booked our AKV Concierge for the days after the cruise. So Hopefully we are able to get on board. We went on the one in 2006, but not this year because it was in October. They are all girls ages 11, 9, and 4 at the time of the cruise. I'm sure your older DD will get along great with my older 2...

DD10 and I had AKV Concierge booked for the end of Feb for her birthday trip, we started that last year after Ava was born, so she got "Mommy time"...anyway, DH jsut got back from a company trip from Key West where the Magic was...so Dh and DD watched the DCL DVD Ive had for the longest time....she said she would rather all of us go on a cruise than our trip!
We are also going to try and tie the cruise into part of their Christmas gift.
I am going to Saratoga for 2 nights in Dec...solo...for Christmas shopping etc...(DH is great) so I will go to the Poly and try to find some cruise wear...lol
I am also going to hit Party City, etc in a few days to find DD a cute Pirate girl costume for the Pirate Party...

Even though no one seems to stop by.....lol

We leave in 3 months from today!! Woohoo! Arrive to relax and enjoy the Boardwalk the day before we sail....DH never gets to the ESPN Zone, so this time he wilL!
We are going to submit our passport apps this Friday since kids are out of school....Costco has the best deal for photos..2 for $4.99.....

We got our passports a few weeks ago - we went in on 10/12 (the kids were out of school) and we had them in 12 days WITHOUT paying to expedite. I was very surprised (and pleased!)

If you are going to the parks before your trip, are you attending the P&PP on the 2nd or 5th? We made our reservations for the 2nd. Have never been to a P&PP and are excited based on the dis feedback.

We are not doing the parks on this trip...we have done enough this year:) and will be back in June of next year to celebrate our 5 yr anniversary (married at the Poly) and our DD16 mths was born on the same day 3 yrs later!!!

We have been to the P & PP twice this year..in March and Sept...The fireworks are amazing, and the parade is fantastic!! Everyone just goes bananas over Captn Jack!! And the music...its just fun!! Tou can see the fireworks from all over it seemed!!
You will have a great time!

As far as the passports go, I think they have changed the date again, not requiring them until summer of 2008 now.

P&PP is amazing, crowds were light, fireworks are awesome, and the Tinkerbell float is just my favorite(Thats what I went for).

Well, we are LESS than 3 months away !!
According to DCL, they want passports (?)..I read about the push back to summer too....we will need them eventually. $440 later...we better go on another cruise, especially since the kids passports are only valid for 5 yrs!
So we submitted our apps on 11/9...lets see how long it takes....:)

Well I see everyone here lives near each other! Well we are in England, about 50 miles south east of london in Ashford, Kent.
Couple - Kirsty and Jonathan who will be experiencing our first ever cruise and thought may as well make it a Disney Cruise!!!!
Coming to Orlando from 1st feb onwards. . .
Only booked for this cruise yesterday so currently VERY VERY VERY excited and can not wait!!!!!!!!
Hopefully can chat with other people on this cruise, as you all seem more experienced and will no doubt have lots of hints and tips for us. . .

Welcome:cheer2:
This thread can be quite lonely...not too many posters as compared to other threads for other cruises!!!
Hop on board!!
It doesnt matter if you are in the states, or across the pond!
This is our 1st Disney cruise, and I am learning everything from this forum and a great book, the Passporter Guide!!
So, where will you be staying prior to the cruise? We arrive on the 6th at the Boardwalk Villas...(not sur if you read the whole thread....:) )Have you been to WDW before?
Well, congrats on your first cruise!:thumbsup2

Hey and 'Good Morning' (your time!)

We have both been to WDW before. We are staying at a Days Inn hotel for a week before the cruise as we are going off in a few different directions doing Universal, WDW and a couple of other bits.
After the cruise we only have 2 days left and hopefully, will be staying at Animal Kingdom (if we can get a reservation from the other forum!).
You mention a book . . . The Passporter Guide - where can we find a copy of this???
As only recently booked we are sooo excited and have been cramming on all the different places on this site as it looks the best.

Ok...go to ....www.passporter.com....cruise info there as well, in addition you can order the book. I ordered the on with the cover, its great, you can keep all your documents in there, etc. There is a new one but it wont come out til we are on our cruise!! There are also older editions as well!
Well, we are at Animal Kingdom Villas after our cruise! Just for one night, but going to stretch it out to 2 resort days! :)
How will you be trying to get that reservation? Try Disney direct....there are some "codes" out , not sure for your dates or not! Good luck!

Thankyou will go onto that site and have a look around, sounds like it could be good.
Just currently booking through someone who owns there.
Paying around $130 for one night with a Savannah view. Sounds like we are doing a similar sort of thing . . .
Might try Disney Direct, is that who you booked through? What were there charges?

Oh good idea..you are renting pts from a DVC owner??? We are DVC owners...we have a 1 bdr savanna view! You can't beat that rate $130...good price!!!!

Yeah

I thought getting them from somewhere who can do the reservation etc for us would be a good way to test run the DVC as well.
Its something we would be interested in but want to see how it works.
If you have 13 points left, for a reservation thats what we are currently after.

We used up just about all our points for this crusie!!! There are alot of folks that rent out points, just be careful and be sure to use someone who has done this before! :) Good LUck!

Just trying to get references etc as we speak!!
So what was it like being a Disney bride???
What did they do to make it special??

Charge me alot of $$$!!! lol
We had abt 25 people come...we received a great rate at the Grand Floridian...great memories and photos!! Our DD was born 3 yrs later on our wedding anniversary, June 28!~ So needless to say, hubby will never forget our anniversary, cause its his princess' birthday:) She will be 19mth on the cruise!
Weddings at Disney have changes ALOT since 2003!! WOW! My new "Wish" is to have a Vow Renewal at Castaway Cat in 2013!! People do get married there as well!!!!!!
