Hi
Sorry if I jumped onto your board and took it over . . .
I am just glad to see some posts!!! We are a lonely bunch - LOL
I ordered the Passporter for the first time. I love to plan. We are doing the parks prior to the cruise (coming in Sat 2/2). Keeping all the reservations can be a chore.
I think you will be fine on Palo's. I would book as soon as you can to ensure you get a time you want, especially if you have a specific night). We have been able to get reservations when we checked in (except every time may not be available). We changed our reservation last time because we didn't want to miss Pirate night with the kids. (I think Fri was pirate night - I am hoping Sat is dress up night). Otherwise we will have to change again...
What did you think of London then?? I really enjoyed the touring. I did Tower of London and Westminster Abbey - and one of the dungeon tours. On the second trip I went on London Eye and saw the show Chicago. I wouldn't want to live there - I couldn't handle the traffic or the crowds, but I really enjoyed the history and sightseeing. Wish the weather had been better.
If you was to give us a list, what would your top 5 tips be?? This tough....
1) I agree with a lot of the posts regarding Nassau. Unless you are doing Atlantis, I prefer staying on the ship and enjoying the spa.
2) Every day you will receive a "Navigator" which is an overview of what will be going on that day. That way you can plan what shows, movies, games, etc. you want to do and plan from there.
3) The musical shows each evening are really good quality and enjoyable - I would try to do at least one.
4) Palo's is definitely worth it. 02/20 is our 20 year wedding anniv so we are making that our anniversary dinner a little early. I would go ahead and book Palo's when you can to ensure you get a spot. Then, when you get there and find out what your dining rotation is, you can try to change it if you want to and if there are openings. There are three different restaurants and you are assigned to a specific one each night. Triton is my least favorite (although the food is very good it is a little fancier menu than the others) so I change my Palo's to make in coincide with the night we are at Triton's (and then we do Triton's for lunch on Nassau). You can eat lunch anywhere - no assignments.
Not regarding the cruise, but.....
4) If you do not have small kids with you, I would recommend taking two days and doing Universal Studios and Isle of Adventures (if you haven't already). IOA is fun but there are A LOT of things smaller kids can't ride. I cannot wait until my DD is old enough to go back.
5) I have not been yet, but the boards rave about the Pirates & Princess Party in MK - even without kids. We are doing our first on 2/2. Short lines on rides and great parades and fireworks. There is one on Feb 2 and one on Feb 5 the week before the cruise. If you haven't been to one you may want to give it a try. You have to had additional tickets for this event and they are discounted before 12/15. I cannot wait to try this!
