Feb.4,2006. Who else is sailing?

Dee,
I did mean sister. She is travelling solo. Well not really solo; she has our family.

OK, it sounds like the brunch plans might be full. My DH (Cal) and I (Debi) would like to be thrown in this bunch if possible.

Also, I am getting so excited. I don't like talking about it at work (I work at a private Christian school) as a semi-retired (HAHA!) teacher and part of the administration office team) but I am about to bust. I come home each day and spend at least 10 minutes on this board. I really should be putting away all of our Christmas decorations that are all spread out in the living room. Oh well, I just close the door and stay in the family room.

Bill, we will be happy to throw some money in the jar at your "shindig."

Also, I have a question for anyone: We have only traveled on the Wonder. I am very excited about the character breakfast that I saw something about. Where do they have it?

And...does anyone know the movies that are going to be playing while we are there? I saw a number the other day, but can't find it now.

:teeth:

It was in Parrot Cay last time we were on -- it was a highlight of dd1's cruise:

The Character Breakfast I think is the second day onboard, check the navigators available and youll find it.

The movies are listed on one of the trip reports, Im at work now and cannot find it....

Thanks for the info., Bill. I was able to find the number and called for a list of the movies. They are:

Chicken Little; Herbie, Fully Loaded; Finding Nemo; Ice Princess; The Incredibles; Narnia; The Heffalump Movie; Sky High; Dark Waters; Flight Plan; The Greatest Game Ever Played; and Valiant

Also, I never got a response from anyone regarding the brunch and if there were anymore openings.

We're still waiting to hear if we got the back room and when. And I'm not sure how many are already signed up -- We have the Story party (3), myself and Kat(2), Bill's party (2?), Marcy's party (2), and sbatty (3). Did I leave anyone out? If I didn't, and Bill's party is 2, then that's a total of 12 and there's still room for 2 more.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong...

Yes, 2.

In case anyone is shopping yet for their kids for the cruise, I just wanted to let you know that Target is trying to get all of their Christmas stuff off of the shelves, and wants it gone before the weekend. They have little girls and boys dressy clothes for 50 to 75% off. I bought dd1 a formal velvet gown last night for a steal.

Of course, she'll be dressed way better than the rest of my family, since I haven't started shopping for myself yet. :rotfl2:

Happy birthday Bill -- Palo Brunch on 2/5 at 10AM in the back room, reservation for 14!

Reservation is under the name of Adi Ferrara (me).

The list I have for attendees is:
Biilinaz (2)
MarcyInForida (2)
The Storys (3)
Sbatty (3)
Yachtsea (2)
Dee and Kat (2)

If anyone who didn't get in wants to have brunch at the same time with us, on the 10-night cruise they set up a tavle near the back room for another group. Just make the Palo resie for Sunday at 10 when you get on board.

Has anyone ever eaten at Topsider's for dinner? Does it have it's own menu or is it the same as one of the dining rooms? We aren't planning to dress-up for Formal night this cruise and wondered if Lobster would be available at Topsider's.

If I remember correctly, they do it at Parrot Cay the morning you are supposed to eat dinner there - so if you have the APL rotation (Animator's Palate, Parrot Cay, Lumiere's) then it will be on Monday. I hope I'm giving you the right information.

Either way, your servers will tell you the night prior. :teeth:

Gotta love Target!! Katie will wear her Princess Belle dress for formal night - it was her halloween costume. So she'll totally look better than me. Hmmm... can I cut out of here early to go shopping?? Boss is not here, but husband may read this... :goodvibes

Tell Mark that you'll be far less stressed on the cruise if you have the appropriate clothing . . . my dh never argues with the concept of a less stressed wife. :sunny:

We ate there twice on the last cruise. The menu was different than the dining rooms, so i don't think they'll have lobster there on formal night.

Darn - missed the brunch that was booked! If anyone is booking another group brunch or if anyone still has room in their group brunch, we would LOVE LOVE to join since we couldn't get a ressie yet at all for brunch.

We are 4 adults: Stacey & Tim Wales, Dee & Peter S. (mom and stepdad)

Bill, we will see you at the cabin party - with tip money in hand for jar. thank you!!

Let me know anyone if they can get another brunch going for a sea day and we will def. be there!

Thanks Dee for getting that together. We have never taken the time to do Palo so this will be a nice treat.

I am trying to get all my Christmas stuff away and my regular stuff back out. After that I am going to get busy with the cruise stuff. I have to get stuff to make a door sign. Do any of you on this cruise do signs for the door? Since it is our 30th anniversary I wanted to put that up. I don't want to seem that I am bragging, but "30 years!" :cool1: Also, I plan to get a photo mat to have autographed to put a special picture in when we come home.

I also teach a seventh grade World History class and have a lot to prepare for my substitute. That will take a while, so...I have a lot to do - not even mentioning the packing. :teacher:

I am not going shopping for the cruise. I bought a bunch of stuff at the end of summer in a smaller size in hopes that it would fit. And it does...at least until the cruise. :rotfl:

By the way, we are staying at the Holiday Inn Express at the port area. Anyone else?

We missed out on the group brunch also. Maybe we can get regular reservations foe brunch on board. I saw on the regular board where people going on the January 28th cruise have gotten their documents already. Ours should start coming next week.

Steve

If anyone wants the name of the DCL person that's responsible for the back room resies, PM me. It's possible other days are available, but I can only reserve the back room once :) So SteveandTonya, TigerB -- she's really responsive and you may be able to get another day.

Or you can try to get resies onboard for 2/5 at 10AM and ask to be setup next to the backroom, so we can all mingle easily.
