Feb 2009 code watch

I only made my reservations and paid a small deposit down...however...I did make and pay for my flight reservations and we are staying six nights...There is no way we could stay seven nights...but, I guess...it could be "up to " seven days? :confused3

This sounds like a really great deal.... for someone else. I'm kind of sad and hoping that there's something else we're not hearing too. I'm going for the last five days of Feb- my dates are locked and I can't change them or add more. Staying only five nights means this deal won't really work for me.

I was really hoping for a great room only or package code. If I saved enough money I was going to potentially add on a room for my parents for a night or two, as a Christmas present. They're not big on Disney but I'm trying to convince them, and a free room would get them to go at least.

I'm worried that if this "really great deal" really is the buy four get three free, it'll be so good Disney won't NEED to release any other codes for my time period, which is peak season. And I'll be stuck paying rack rate.

Anyone else worried?

I'm glad we're spending most of the day decorating for Christmas at work. If I had to do real work today or things were dragging and slow, how in the world would I ever make it to 6:30 LOL (which is when I get home and can check for codes)

We are currently booked for 10 nights- so I am also kind of curious how this type of promo will affect our pricing/stay. I already called my airline to see about changing flights (figured we could bump it up to 14 days for the same price or less, than what we are paying now). My change fees would far surpass any savings for our stay at WDW. UGH

I've been running some numbers trying to figure out how much the buy 4 get 3 free deal would cost me. Why is it that when I get a package price for room and tickets, it's about $100 more than if I booked the room only and bought the tickets separately? If I choose to get the dining plan which will require me to buy the package, I will have to pay the mysterious $100 for nothing just to get the plan. It doesn't make much sense to me.

I am getting so antsy!!!!!!!!! We are booked for Feb. 6th through the 11th. If we get this deal that they say they are giving, then we will book for the 5th through the 11th. I am so excited!!!!

If this buy 4 get 3 free promotion is in fact what Disney is releasing this evening...I'm disappointed. It is not a "HUGE" deal for people who can't stay the full 7 days, people who are staying longer then 7 days, or people who have already booked their flights and will have to pay a fee to change their itinerary to accommodate this promotion.

Hmm...still hoping there will be a flat room discount and a free ticket upgrade. :confused3

I'm disappointed too. I hope there's a flat rate or dining or something. We are staying 6 nights and have already booked our flights. If I don't change the flights, it will only save me $140 more or so than the AAA room discount I have now. That's not enough to change our itinerary so it won't be "HUGE" for me at all.

My thoughts exactly. The room discount and tix upgrade would work better for me. Or the free dining.

Surely...When they say HUGE....They mean HUGE....Something that could help everybody..;) Especially, with our economy the way it is!

If you already have a package booked and paid for, call Disney when the sale breaks. It can't hurt to ask.

If you already have a package booked but not paid, they might be able to apply the code, or at the most, rebook you.

If you have AAA ressies, and can't get ahold of your TA, you might as well book through WDW and cancel the AAA, as long as you will not incur any stiff penalties.

I don't think the sale will be for less than 7 days based on the cut and paste that was posted on another link (though, who knows who the source was for that.)

If you are staying more than 7, my guess is you get three of the first seven free, and then three more if you book 14, because the wording in the aforementioned clip is "For every seven days you book you will get three days free."

If they gave the dining plan for free for those days, it might be worth it for us, but it doesn't look like it, so we are probably holding out for Sept. and free dining.

I was hoping for something that included the dining plan and was the $ equivalent of free dining. For OUR family, free dining is the best value, as we have seven kids, and stay at value resorts.

If you aren't getting the dining plan, the 4 &3 deal is pretty good, but only if you stay for 7 days.

Disney and their fuzzy math!!!

I'm with you!
DD11 and I can only stay 4 nights as she has a 4 day weekend..and I cant be gone longer than that.
Hoping for a room code or AP discount and that they will be available...I am there about the same time as you!

You dont normally have to rebook an entire already paid package for applying a code do you?:confused3
In a perfect world, the kids will be completely quiet tonight at 5ish, dinner will be a success and it will be me, my computer and a CM telling me I just saved $$$$:lmao:

The chances of the kids not bugging me...:sad2:

:rotfl:

I hope we don't have to rebook, I have some paid already from Disney gifts cards and dont know how the refunds will work on that one

Hmmm...DH and I had pretty much given up on joining my in-laws for their February trip for monetary reasons and had even started planning a road trip for later in the spring.

If this goes as the rumors are now projecting, we may just have to re-think.

do you think you could use the gift card for a room only reservation during the week you are there? Right now we are booked for 3 days at ASMo - I would totally upgrade to 7-day (my calcs say it would only be about $150 more than what I'm paying now) but our baby is staying in Ft. Myers with my Mom and 7-days may be a little more than she's up for!)

I MIGHT be able to convince her to drive up with the baby part way through the week if I offered to pay for her room (I know she's got a 1-park day left on an old PH ticket)

It just bugs me to think that when I'm already paying 1000+ for 2 nights and 3-day PH that I can stay the whole week for pennies more.

Of course this is a non-issue if they throw in the dining - I'll be booking it regardless!

Another question - if you were booked for 7-day PH tickets and had to leave after using only 3-days could you upgrade the remaining days to non-expiration?

Thanks
Natalie

just checked with Air Trans and it will cost us 300 dollars to change/extend our airfair tickets a few more days if the buy 4 get 3 free is indeed the case - that stinks!!
