A couple of miles is ok 5 or more would be a problem.

Well, according to Google Maps, it looks like from the intersection of N. Lake Buena Vista Drive and Hotel Plaza Blvd - basically, right in front of DTD's Marketplace - it's 1.6 miles. So, yeah, it is indeed doable.

I feel sorry for the original poster...I am afraid they will be overwhelmed at the vastness of WDW when they get there. People used to say, Six Flags, might think it is in the middle of a residential spot...like Six Flags in Chicago (Gurnee) is smack near houses and stores, etc. I freaked out when we went in 2005...I hadn't been to WDW for 13 years and I asked the driver from POP how far it was to MK since we were in the bus for so long and when he answered "12 miles" or whatever he said, I was like duhhhhhh!
