HORSES
*This is tough because I am afraid of horses.
1. I am grateful that I was able to quell my fears enough back in summer 2019 to go horseback riding in Colorado with my family. I'm pretty sure the horse knew I was not OK because our guide repeated had to scold me for making the horse unhappy. Not that I was doing anything harmful but my tension was being passed on to the animal and evident in my posture/form. Still, we have the pictures and some good family jokes as a result of me being brave.
2. Transportation - This country would not be what it is if people in the early days did not have horses.
3. Carousels - Now these are some horses I can ride without fear! I also love the ornate details of the early ones.

ALABAMA Colors
1. University of Oklahoma -This makes me laugh since OU joining the SEC has made this a big matchup. OU's colors are Crimson and Cream. DD19 just loves OU and crimson is the primary color. So, there's my crimson gratitude.
2. Gray Skies - As much as a love a vibrant sunrise or sunset, DD17 and I are both people that actually find peace and tranquility with gray gloomy days. In fact, it really wears on me if it's always sunny.
3. White Flocked Tree - We finally decorated inside this past weekend and my Black Friday treat from last year (a new tree- heavily flocked) covered me in fake snow on Saturday. It was a festive day to begin with, since I helped take pics of nearly 100 kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus at a choir event, but me walking around covered in faux white snow in all of the lights inside just made it feel so wintery and festive. It really added to the vibe.

Afternoon all,

Unsurprisingly I'm going with a food/drink based post today:

1. Beef Bourginon - not something I eat nearly as often as I'd like but when I do, this is one of my faves as its so rich and tasty and comforting.

2. Ravioli, Tortellini or any Italian pasta dish - pasta is one of my many weaknesses and there are so many good dishes and types of pasta to name them all.

3. Châteauneuf de Pape - this is one of my favourite wines, in both red and white, and if I ever want to treat myself this is what I go for. Usually have a bottle or 2 over the Christmas period.

2. Chimichangas -- a rare treat for me because they are loaded with calories;
3. Balaclavas -- so thankful that I gave one to my daughter who lives in frigid Michigan.

Tough one all I can think of is food or alcohol most foreign words I know are not family friendly

Italian - my wonderful Italian friend who taught me sauce is GRAVY and all the delicious dishes to just whip up with all the different pastas but my favorite will always be spumoni one of my most favorite ice creams

French Macrons - and croissants and some nice French wine

Just about any kind of Mexican food from your chimichangas to your burritos to your enchiladas guacamole with a margarita

Happy Tuesday everyone

Polly - I do chocolate covered pretzels too. I need to do that this weekend. I use all the leftover melted chocolate from my Oreo balls & PB balls to do this.

#1 - MY OREO BALLS & PEANUT BUTTER BALLS - Since I mentioned them I’ll use them as one of my answers. I gotta take them out of the garage fridge and make sure they still taste ok since I made them before Thanksgiving. Because there’s nothing that will go bad, I made them super early because of my surgery. I’ll taste test them later today.

#2 - CORNDOGS - I truly love Corndogs! I’m always excited to get a hot dog on a stick covered in batter - yummy!

#3 - PEANUT BUTTER COVERED RITZ CRACKERS - I can endlessly eat these if I could. I love taking a Ritz cracker and spreading peanut butter on them. So good! If I want to give myself a good stomachache, then I’ll add Nutella to it too.

Macaroni and cheese with extra sauce; smother that pasta in goodness!
