Well, we are stuck in A Caruna Spain overnight due to some rough weather between here and Vigo, Spain. Possible 40 mph winds and 22 ft swells. So now our transatlantic has only two port stops. Maybe it’s leftover from Melissa? I don’t really mind. Was able to use a $12 Verizon 24 hr WiFi pass rather than the $26 one that DCL charges.

Thanks! Safely in Port. Luckily there was room for us to spend the night. I did ask the maitre’d at Palo about the biggest change made in drydock. HE said it was nothing you could really see. Something about the propellers being changed - maybe he said we got 5 more kilometers per gallon? Yeah, that sounds weird . . But I swear it was something like that. Fuel efficiency? Also that bulbous thing that protects out at the front of the ship below the waterline was updated to a more modern design. Maybe it helps stabilize the ship? I guess not during really fierce storms.

The carpet in my cabin is new!

I’ll keep asking around.

If they changed the props, that was probably in hopes of correcting the vibration issue.

We know people on board now. She gave my wife the heads up about the itinerary change. The biggest changes were a new concierge lounge, new suite in forward stack, new bulbous bow and also a new quick service Mexican food option. Basically same changes as the Dream except for the bow I believe. We did Norway on her in September and will be back on board in February. Have a great cruise.

I am Midship. Coming across the Bay of Biscay (UK to Spain) was very choppy rock & rolly - whole ship was “vibrating”! Would be nice if it helped.

Dear Guest,

Due to the predicted weather at sea and conditions for the port of Vigo, tomorrow’s call to Vigo has been canceled.

The forecast shows the wind is set to be westerly at a sustained 50 knots, gusting to 60 knots, which is Storm Force 10 to Violent Storm Force 11 on the Beaufort Scale and the sea state is forecast to be very rough with 7 meter waves and swell. Furthermore, the port forecast for Vigo tomorrow morning shows winds of up to 40 knots or Storm Force 8, which is out with the Disney Fantasy’s berthing capabilities. With this in mind, we will remain in La Coruna until 4pm all aboard tomorrow afternoon, November 6th. Gangway will remain available during our stay in port.

Yes, rain predicted here in A Caruna tomorrow (Thursday). It was raining on deck this morning and windy. Pools were covered. Difficult to find a dry table to eat outside Cabanas at breakfast and inside was packed. Oddly, that splash area for toddlers was still functional with extra water spraying everywhere. Deck was also a bit slippery with those yellow caution plastic things scattered around.

Seems to be the Fantasy's karma this fall season-missed ports, big waves, bad weather (I was on the British Isles turned mostly Norway cruise in September). They will keep you safe-which is the most important thing. I hope the tables turn and she has good luck once back here. Due to sail on her in March.

No Vigo huh. Sorry to see Madame Leota haunting the ports up there. Hopefully the rest of the cruise is smooth, even if the waters sway differently.

Are they adding any excursions for tomorrow?

I think something was said about excursions but my App still has Vigo on it. Gotta be honest, people had a heck of a time connecting with the App on Day #1. I had to do it four times before it “stuck”. Lots of people in line at Guest Services seeking help. Could not connect in the terminal at Southampton.
