Fantasy February 16, 2013 - 7 Night Western Cruise Meet

I love my West-Coast-Peeps who do not leave me sitting here alone at this hour :goodvibes

I hope everything continues to be good over there and that Stitch continues to heal rapidly!

 You're up late!

Hope you and your dad are doing well!

Things are good here and Stitch is healing up really well. His biggest issue is that he keeps rough playing with the dog and getting scratched up. His skin is still really sensitive and thin, so he's consistently bandaging up new cuts on his right hand. I'm at the point where I'm going to start making him wear gardening gloves in the house. LOL

I'm having a yard sale, probably next weekend, and getting rid of lots of stuff that I don't want to have to sort through in three years when I'm hoping we can relocate to Florida! Although, if the housing market doesn't come back, we'll be stuck here for longer. :headache:

Overall, we are both doing well, thanks!

I am glad he is doing much better. Perhaps you can find a pair of gloves he can wear around the house that have a better "feel" to them. I would suggest a dress uniform glove maybe. They are relatively thin so he keeps the dexterity and a great amount of the feel when he touches things. Mine are made of cotton so if he should be injured, it will not introduce much bad stuff into the cut and cleans easily in cold water.

Good luck with the yard sale. Hopefully it will give you many Disney Dollars to be spent replacing the stuff you sold LOL. I have been watching home prices too. I really hope they stabilize by the time I am ready to make the move. There is an excellent job opportunity for me in Miami right now but I doubt I will be able to take advantage of it. Someday...

Send my regards to Jason and the kids. I am wearing my famous SSMC 11 sneakers right now, it makes me feel better about being away from all my peeps. :grouphug:

Thanks for the tip about the gloves, I'll see if I can find some here. Originally the yard sale was supposed to be for Disney Dollars (and a new kitchen table), but I think it's going to end up being medical bills payments instead. LOL

I think I'll go have a drink out of my ACE cup! :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 What I like about mine is that I don't lose it in the dark

Jason should know where to find the gloves...

They don't do gloves as part of J's uniform (except the latex kind, ewww!), but he works with a zillion guys who probably know where to go. And Kyle has a friend who's dad is in the Army (assigned permanently to the Guard). I'm sure he can point us in the right direction too. There's a surplus place nearby, but last time I was in there for scout stuff, they didn't have any "dress" stuff. And the clientele was ... errrr ... interesting. Looked like lots of survival/militia folk. Jason said that I was never to go back there alone. LOL

Hey!!! Glad to hear you and your dad are doing well!!

I have wondered several times if you still wear those awesomesauce shoes.

UGH...I am so sick of paying medical bills. Just as soon as I get one paid off...something happens and there's another one! At least they don't charge interest like the vet did when Pooh Bear had surgery! :sad2:

I often have drinks out of my ACE cup....and the kids like to play with the ACE frisbee. :thumbsup2

 That's kind of scary that you're not allowed to go back to a military surplus store alone!! Are the employees there civilians or service-men/women? Hopefully not civilians...I'd be scared to have to wait on an "interesting" clientele like that! :upsidedow

I should have hopped on here last night. I was WIDE AWAKE watching TV when you guys were chatting. I just didn't think there would be anything happening online. Boy was I wrong!

Have a GREAT day everyone!

The doctors here do charge interest. Or at least late fees. I'm not sure which now. Luckily, we've only run into that a couple of times. But, I'm a little concerned about how they are going to handle the bills from the Stitch on fire incident. BCBS sent us an incident report to fill out, which we did and have sent it back. But, in the meanwhile, they have already denied one claim from the ER because they are reviewing paperwork. ARG!

The guy working there was definitely a civilian. LOL It's a shop that buys up military surplus to sell. We went in for the Swiss woolen pants that they sell for the boys to use on snow outings. The guy was perfectly nice, but he was a bit rough around the edges too. I think we were the only folks in the shop who weren't packing heat. It's probably the safest place in town to shop. Even if a nutter came in and started shooting up the place, the other shoppers would take him out really quickly. :rotfl2:

Has anyone entered these into a spreadsheet? We had one on Google Docs for our last cruise, and it made it easier to tally by gender, ages, etc. If no one has done one yet, I'd be happy to create one and send out the link.

Happy Father's Day!
