On our first DC we didn't tell my daughters. We went on the magic in early December (beautifully decorated for Christmas/holidays) I packed the kids stuff up, woke them up that morning told them we had a surprise for them (they didn't know anything) we drove to the airport and got on the plane...that alone had them crazy with excitement we then went to port. Inside the port my kids still didn't know what was going on but they were admiring the model of the ship in the middle of the room. I said to my girls, wow thats a pretty nice model ship and they agreed. "Guess what girls, this is the surprise...we are going on the
Disney Cruise". They were crying because they were so happy. Of all the vacations I've ever been on, our first DC was the most memorable... my husband and I shed so many tears because our daughters reactions to everything was so special. Imagine waking your children up and them not having a idea we had a vacation planned. We went from our NYC home to FLA all the way to the ship and they didn't know till they were stepping on the boat. Reaction was priceless!!!
