Since our son, who is disabled, is no longer going with us I called today to see if we can change from a disabled to a regular cabin (maybe someone else can use this one that truly needs it).

So, please take note we are just a few doors down from 8090 to 8094 for the fish extender gift exchange.

if you don't have an assigned cabin # yet, please let me know that as well AND make sure you take my cabin number (7562) and contact me once on board if you don't make it to the meet to get your wristbands.

For those of you who have been here for awhile and know the story, wanted to update on Sabrina.

We took x-rays this go-around locally and shipped them up to Philadelphia for review. Since her surgery in November they have kept her under restrictions with her lumbar - specifically no butterfly, flip-turns, diving or situps. As a swimmer this has been brutal and kept her from moving up teams. We just got word from the Doctors in Philadelphia that her curves are stable, staples look good and ALL RESTRICTIONS ARE LIFTED!!!!

She will still be braced at night and during the day while at home for the next 3 months (won't make her wear the daytime brace on the cruise) but with Scoliosis, we take what we can get.

This was the last piece of news that I needed to freely focus on the cruise. Now, a big sigh of relief and focus on leaving in 8 days!!!

Should you have to change cabin numbers please be aware all your dining/port adventure/spa reservations are no longer available; you have to start over (unless you remind the DCL rep to please try and transfer them for you). I forgot to ask the rep to transfer our reservations and when I went online to be sure our cabin was changed it said we had no activities planned.

Thankfully, our time/date for Palo was available and we quick took it back. We just lost out on our floating rafts for CC - maybe there will be extras and if not so be it!

Sadly no alcohol here. I take muscle relaxers and narcotic pain killers for my neck injury from the accident we were in July 2011 and if I wanted to drink I'd have to go without the meds for 2 days to get them out of my system. I was praying for months to feel better enough to be off of them but I can't even go a day without them yet.

But.....

If you want to drag me out to go get some soft serve ice cream I'm all over that!

I can only have a very limited amount of alcohol, but there is a non alcoholic cocktail menu and some nice sounding coffees, both hot and iced.

I wanted to let everybody know that we are going to try to upgrade at the port. If we are succcesful, we will include a note with our new room number & deliver our FE gifts on the first day.

Made it to Cape Canaveral! Boys were superb on the day, with two delays it ended up being almost 17 hours of travel. The little guy slept 2 hours of the 10 hour flight, but his big brother didn't and was pretty tired when we arrived (it was around 2:00AM on their body clocks). Daddy spotted us and snuck up on them at the arrivals hall in MCO. Super reunion... Meg

Hi Sue! I babysat for some friends who were staying at OKW a few years ago and the rooms were huge I wish we were DVC members so we could stay there (cash price is more then we wish to spend) but we love Olivia's we go there for lunch/dinners sometimes. I love the Key Lime Tart there I am drooling just thinking about it!

DH & I usually head to Olivia's for breakfast on our way home from the cruise port! It is on our way back to Tampa Bay, and Olivia's breakfast potatoes are the best!!

Bf got the passport and evening is good to go ... Except that we have not started packing or buying anything from our lists of items needed ... I leave for la tmr to celebrate mothers day ... Come back mon and work mon tues we'd ... So i have a few hrs before the flight to pack .. I leave Vegas wed night ... I'm starting to panick a little how did the cruise creep up so fast!

So worried something is going to happen while we are gone... Ask me if I got trip insurance though... Ugh!!!!

Sorry-- mostly I'm just trying to stay awake I've been on Facebook for most of the night and needed a change of pace. That and I didn't want u guys to think I disappeared, haha

Tony, we won't have a computer onboard, but will have iPhones. I can mess around with trying to upload a few shots from the ship, but fair warning, I really don't know how to do it. Could I email you pictures instead? If so, you can PM it to me. I'm curious to see how the Internet access is, as it was really dismal in the Med last year. But I'd love to post some pics. Anyone curious about anything in particular?

Dinner last night at Fishlips. Greg had seared tuna appetizer and the yellowfin tuna wrap, and raved about both. Boys slept 11 hours last night and (crossed fingers) doesn't appear we will have any jet lag issues. greg, however, is struggling. His time change is 8 1/2 hours (yeah, nutty with the 1/2 hour), and had a rough (sleepy) night last night.

We can see the Fantasy from the boys' window. I'm feeling sad for the poor souls disembarking. Very excited, though. Weather is cloudy, breezy and warm. More soon.

And then they slept through the night, waking up at 6:00! We're really lucky this time, should be minimal jet lag based on that first night. the boys are happily playing with Daddy in the pool at Ron Jon as we speak, and I'm having some quality "someone else is on duty" time with my iPad.

...Would anyone be interested in doing a meetup of the (roughly) 4-8 year old meet up on Sunday morning at the wake up with Disney at 9:00? It's at the D Lounge, we could meet up at the left side of the stage. Could help the little ones get to know each other a bit. What do you think?

Went into a grocery store for a quick shop and I forgot how crazy American grocery stores are, there wee probably 50 flavors of potato chips alone! Temptation here is certainly harder to resist/avoid, but it's nice to be home.

Can't wait for you guys to join us...

Meg - so glad the reunion went well and thanks for updating us. Made me smile just picturing it! Glad the boys are doing well. Kids can adapt so quickly. I hope you and DH adapt quickly too!

Not sure about the meet up on Sunday. Have to ask Kai but thinking he won't be into the activity but we will try. He is 7.

As for US grocery stores, it is amazing the choices we have here. So different than in Finland too and overwhelming.

Amy - I hate that you are still in so much pain-- I am sure everyone is up for an ice cream (or a coffee drink!)

Just got a call from Best Friends Pet Kennel at WDW that they have room for my sister's therapy dog JACK to be boarded there for the night of 5/18 so that my sister and brother-in-law, who moved to FL a year ago can come and stay with us at ASMu Family suites for one night before the cruise. My sis is nervous because she has never boarded JACK before, but this is a good thing. I can't have the dog in the hotel room even though he is eligible, but my BIL can go visit and walk JACK any time he wants. We will get to see Flower & Garden Friday night and they can go to Star Wars Weekend Sat AM.

Good to know. Wonder how that works if you upgrade at the port? I would love a bigger room with four beds so I don't have to share with Kai but unwilling to leave deck 2. Will ask but it is unlikely....
