**Fantasy Becomes Reality** Group--5/19/2012 (INDEX/ROLE CALL, PAGE 1--ENTRY 1)

Hi! I would love to do the stretch class & the Fab Abs :) I have been working out with a trainer and a workout buddy for the past 6 months, and I don't want to lose my momentum  It would be great to have a support group! Only problem, I am by no means a morning person! :faint: I would like to give it a try though. ::yes:: Does anybody know when and where you sign up?

On another note, we are booked on the Golden Eagle Catamaran, but I was thinking of switching to Bernard's It looks like a lot of people are doing this excursion. I was always afraid to venture of on my own :scared1: We have done the Golden Eagle previously, but I would like to see some of the island this time. We are doing the full day sail/snorkel in St Thomas so I should get plenty of water time! :beach: Anybody else doing this excursion?

Hope you all have a happy Mother's Day! :goodvibes
~Suzanne

We are doing the full day Turtle bay/Honeymoon Beach. I'm not sure if this is the same thing.

Well make sure you go to your senior Prom it will be a night you remember forever. Even with or without a date. It is still a good memory to have. As far as leaving. We leave next Tuesday. :worship: On the last day of the cruise we will all leave the ship, or err most of our group will be wearing Cardinals garb. I don't know if you guys are fans or not but we like to End wearing our State. Join in if you want. It makes a cute photo. See you soon!

We are definitely cardinals fans! We shall join in!! Sounds fun!!
Ive had so much fun at pop concert, but I will definitely miss the seniors and I have to sing at the baccalaureate tonight. I'm pretty sure I will not be able to keep dry eyes throughout the whole thing.

Happy Mother's Day to everyone here I hope you have had a great day!

To Those who have left already I hope your having safe travels and having fun either at the Beach or at WDW or where ever your vacationing before the cruise. I wish I were vacationing now instead of trying to figure out how we are going to pack everything we absolutely have to have, everything we need to have, what we would like to have, and well everything else on top of it.

We spent 2 hours today searching for our Fish Extender and door Magnets and glad to say that we finally found it and were able to pull out most of what we needed to pack so it was a worthy expedition.

I can't believe we're down to only 6 Days!

Happy mother's day all. Board has slowed down, I guess as some people are already traveling. We've started our packing pile, but haven't pulled out the suitcases yet.

I'm so excited, but as it gets closer now, I start worrying about leaving our elderly dog at home. But she has the best situation. A friend dog sits at the house for us so she doesn't have to leave her familiar environment. I still worry though.

We are going to try for a port upgrade too, so I'll let you know how it goes. One last time, does anyone have a cabana they are thinking of cancelling or would be willing to share? I really really want to use a cabana. Thanks

Can't wait to meet everyone in a week .. :) is everyone getting very dressed up for formal night? I don't recall if people wore gowns ... I remember on royal almost everyone was in gowns but not carnival ... Thanks in advance :D

Me too!! My formal dress isn't so formal. We are in Palo that night so hope it is ok.

It's the wee hours of the morning and I'm headed to work as I am working today instead of Tuesday, when we head down to Florida, so I will cheat and reuse last years entry again. Hope it is a blessed day for everyone!!!

Thanks Tony!!! Happy Mothers day to Sue and all te other DIS moms!

Hey gang, hope the last week is passing smoothly for everyone.

Am in Cabanas having an early breakfast. The ship is beautiful, almost overwhelming there's so much to see. So far best surprise was Satellite Falls (which is adults only, btw. I know there was a question about that earlier.) it's bigger than I expected and really peaceful.

Eventful trip already. There have been two onboard medical emergencies. The first was last night, and the Captain turned the ship around and returned to Port Canaveral to evacuate a passenger. The cruise director said it was a first for the fantasy. No details, for the person's privacy. Then this morning at about 5:30 there was a full ship announcement (meaning it was even piped into the staterooms) which said "white star" and a room number. I asked a CM later and she confirmed it was a medical emergency, but of course, no more than that. Interesting that they seem to have codes.

Hope everything is OK with the passenger. When I woke up, I was awake, no luck falling back asleep, so I've been wandering and exploring. Beautiful morning at sea.

More soon.

Thanks for posting! Sounds awesome (satellite falls not the medical emergencies)

Happy Mother's Day!

Tony (DizDaddy) - what a marvelous tribute to all mothers....I especially enjoyed the "Disney Moms" pictured!

It looks like people are winding down, leaving for their trips (safe travels), and "weaning" us off from this board ;)

I have my magnets done, some little surprises that I found for the kids (even tho I am not doing FE), and once the laundry is done today, will pack! I know you will feel so sorry for me as I must pack for this trip, then, immediately leave to go "up north" to help DD23 move out of her college apartment, then come back to FL to take DD23 on her own cruise (SS not DCL as she has been waiting for a long time to sail on "the largest" ship), so lots of planning and packing to do this week! :laundy:

I look forward to meeting everyone here who has been so friendly, welcoming, informative and fun!:dance3: :disrocks: :grouphug:

Sounds like you are busy!! I am guessing folks are leaving already. We don't leave until Friday.

Hi all I'm just getting to this really really late!! I have been truly sick (headaches) for the past 2 weeks and finally better and can't wait for this cruise.

I am a mom to a 7yr old little dancing TinkerBell and have a wonderful husband, puts up with my love of everything DISNEY! It's hard NOT to miss my husband, he will be the one in an all black baseball hat holding a very big digital camera. Think a camera that a professional would have, yep that would be him :)

We just cruised for the first time in October on the Dream and can't wait for this cruise since it's on the Fantasy and a much longer cruise. Hope to run into some of you all while on the boat, shopping on the Islands, or playing on CC!

Have fun counting down till Sail Away Day!!!

Something is WRONG with your Donald shirt......you can't wear it onboard..................he isn't wearing pants!!! :lmao: Finally got to use that one!!!!

Well..... been busy here too...story of the boards I guess.....YEAH!!! To all those that have started their travels or are (((ehhheemmmm)) on the FANTASY!!! So happy for you all!! We will be leaving to drive down Thursday. Staying overnight in Live Oak Fl. at our halfway point then waking up (I'm sure around 6am...:hyper: too excited to sleep!) to head down to Port Canaveral...

We will be hitting Fishlips around 4pm or 5pm on Friday...John we may see you there! I also contacted the Port Canaveral Website people....because they say on the little small tiny links on the left side of the page to contact them if you want a loaner banner...heck yeah! So the co-founder of the website contacted me...told me to tell fishlips I need a banner for the cruise and the website. They will give me one and we get "SAIL-A-WAY AIRTIME!" He also wanted to know where we thought we would be standing AND he said hewould get high res pics of us and he himself will most likely be in Port that day doing the filming!! ALSO did you know they sell DVD's of our Sail-a-way?? Yep, they do! Guess who is already first in line to buy one???:scratchin

So here is the sail-a-way plan....at least for us...any Disers who want to join in...:crowded: clearly! The more the merrier!! I told him we are going to be standing in front of the 2nd Red funnel with (hopefully) said loaner banner. We will be waving like crazy and he will be sure to pick us up and give us our 5 minutes of fame sail-a-way time!! I told him I am on the Disboards which is how I found his site and that we all watch it like crazy! I also told him we will be the group waving like crazy!! So after our 3pm meet....lets hold up a spot at the 2nd red funnel or darn close and have us a Webcam sail-a-way party!! Who's in???

Also....I have to add...finally...2nights hotel overnight bag ...PACKED! Tips and tricks, magnets, tons of medicinal supplies :rolleyes2, and Thing1 and Thing2...Packed.....DH...Packed (his side of the suitcase)..... yeah yeah...then there is me:lmao: NOT PACKED!Pirate stuff set aside.....overall though, it's looking like 2 big rolling suitcases, the overnight bag (which might not make it on the ship...or might for purchases......) small bathroom bag and the carry on with the WINE!! That's it! I think after all my worries about packing I've done rather well. Although I almost already forgot Thing 2's dress shoes! :rolleyes2 I am happy they are packed so I can really now just think of the little things ..like shoes!...that I forgot! TOOOOOOO Excited to sleep!! Clearly! I should be in bed...everyone else is alreay sleeping...I have a Ortho appt for Thing 1 at 8am in Biloxi...but just can't settle down yet...my ticker says 6 DAYS! How can I sleep?!?! :drive:

Really can't wait to see everyone!! pixiedust:

I've been keeping up with the posts daily but haven't found time to reply as it's not so convenient to do it unless I'm at my PC :surfweb:

FINALLY!! I hit my 100 lb. weight loss goal today. :cloud9:

Wow, that is incredibly awesome - congrats! :cheer2: I just want to work in little increments and set my goal for 10 pounds - but I gained instead! Well at least with all that's going on I'm probably stable but that'll change once I get on the ship! :upsidedow

So, just got some amazing news from the Chefy hubby....

That's wonderful - congrats! Hope he likes the food on the ship :rotfl:

While on the cruise two of our daughters will celebrate birthdays -

Me too!! My formal dress isn't so formal. We are in Palo that night so hope it is ok.

We're in Palo for formal night as well (8:30) and my dress is just a long dress that you'd wear to a wedding but not overly fancy.

Glad your getting done with your family's packing now you can focus on your own packing and leaves you a day or so to work on making sure nothing is forgotten!

That is awesome about the webcam and the banner as well as the video. Not sure what our plans are for after the meet up and sail away in terms of what deck we'll be on. Given we are a wheelchair party we might get shuffled over to the handicap viewing section. Plus with having Early Dining not sure how that will work time wise but I will try!

Safe driving down to Live Oak, and then on to Port Canaveral. We are sitting here watching everyone winding down and watching them leave for vacation and we sigh because my mother still has to work until Friday and vacation doesn't start until we leave for Port Canaveral on Saturday Morning.

Our biggest issue is how we are possibly going to be able to manage our carry on items, and push a wheelchair onto the ship and until our room is ready. We each have a carry on bag with well some top secret FE items, as well as the bare necessities that we have to have for our first day on board (medications and the like). We will each have our day bags (purses). Then we have to bring the cane, the walker, and push the manual wheelchair around. There are only two of us and I just have no idea how we are going to be able to do this. I guess I can call the cruise line and find out if they can once in the terminal and we pick up our wheelchair rental if they can have someone bring our walker to the stateroom but I don't know if that is even an option.

To say I am panicking is the least you can say and I can't even ask my TA because her daughter who was born almost a month ago is in the NICU and the TA who is covering for her, seemed annoyed with me asking how much our on-board credits were. I feel nervous asking her about this now. GRRR!

Off to call DCL...we all know how an answer can be given and there be at least 3 different answers depending on who you talk to. I hope I get the correct answer even if its the answer I wish not to hear.

I am loving that Texas pin!!!

I'm hoping to start packing today! For the last three weeks this cruise has been on again/off again and late last week I was told by one of dad's doctors 'GO ON THAT CRUISE AND ENJOY YOURSELF!" ... So we're were cheering :cheer2: and dancing  that dad is doing better and that I am finally feeling guilt free about going on this cruise.

Well, then I wake up on Friday with a blood vessel broken in my left eye. What! :scared: So off to the doctor and was told nothing to worry about it will go away and thankfully it is almost gone as of this morning! Then Saturday night I woke up with an awful toothache .. spent all yesterday in pain .. talked to dentist and have a morning appt already. I'm thinking my mouth guard needs adjusting (I clench my teeth .. been doing a lot of that apparently with everything going on .. ha). So hopefully I will hear it's nothing to worry about and we can commence packing since we leave Thursday morning!! At least I have all my FE gifts done and I just finished making my FE to hang outside the cabin door ... :thumbsup2

Cannot wait to start this vacation and meet those of you whose posts I have been reading. :goodvibes

Safe travels to everyone ... and we'll see you the end of the week! :cloud9:

So yeah the DCL special services line was of like no help. She stumbled for her responses and "thinks" they will be able to check our walker to the room when we drop our luggage off. So if you see two women in the terminal looking frazzled trying to move a walker, cane, wheelchair, and two carry on bags and 2 purses. Yep that's us make sure you wave and say hi.

Starting to question why I took the 11am check in time. If we had done 12 maybe we wouldn't have to wait around for them to start boarding or wait that long until the rooms are ready. But at least with 11am it will give us more time to get organized and all.

Glad your dad is doing better! Sounds like this cruise will be good for you to relax and have fun!

Congrats on finishing your FE we spent hours yesterday trying to find ours and if we hadn't found it I was going to have to make one before Saturday but luckily we found it:worship:

Glad your eye is better but I am hoping that your tooth is just your mouth guard. On our cruise in 2010 I started having tooth pain on night 3 of 4 and by the time I got off the ship it was so bad that I cried all the way home for the pain of the tooth more then the pain of getting off the ship. Well turned out I had an infected impacted wisdom tooth and they had to get the infection out and then lucky me had to have it extracted.

I haven't heard of anybody being turned away or made to wait for showing up after their boarding time. Somebody will correct me if I am wrong.

If there is any opportunity for us to grab some of your items and get them to you, we will! We will have lots of hands with us (14 or so of us traveling together). We have the same checkin time, so if I see you, I may approach you. Don't punch me in the face or anything, or yell strange guy, or stalker!!! :)

Susan has had a motorized scooter for our last two cruises. I will tell you that in both cases, different cruise lines, they were EXTREMELY HELPFUL with people needing 'specialty assistance'. I'm sure you will be fine, but if we can help in any way, we will!!!!

Awww Tony I was so looking forward to punching you in the face :rotfl2: your no fun:rotfl2: just kidding. Thank you if you see us and it wouldn't put you out we'd be grateful for any assistance if they don't feel the need to check our walker. Please say hi if you see us even if we don't end up needing help you have done so much for organizing the thread and all I'd love to thank you in person no punches involved!

I do want to say that I can't wait to dine in Animator's Palate and see the shows especially this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tjYAdUEgO0s

Yeah I'm sitting here youtube video watching, reading the DIS and avoiding packing as its like a mountain of stuff that will all fit once packed but looks scarier then it probably is. :rotfl2:

Back to youtube for a while before I work on that packing...:surfweb:
