Family group and FP+/MB control/ coordination

I am planning a trip for Nov 2015. Am usually solo, managed FP+ with no problem in December. There will be DB and his DW, DN and her DH and 2 kids. We will have at least 2 rooms. I am paying for everyone's room/ ticket but not meals and other purchases.

Will all MBs be in one account or will they be separate by room? Can the bands for different units of the group be linked to different credit cards?

I am the only one who understands FP+. There are some things we would like to do together and I would need to be able to coordinate FP on MBs. However, the younger folk may want to do some different things. I am happy to set up whatever FPs they want.
How can can I ensure that no one else changes _my_ FP? -am going to try for A & E and would be upset to get them and lose them because others tried to make changes.

I am currently doing this for our group of 18 in June/July. I do not have the answer about the credit cards, though I would love to know it! However, I have been making all of our FP+ reservations lately so this I can address.

It seems that the first one who logs in to the MDE app for each room is the one who “controls” the account for that room. I have all of 18 of us linked under mine (so I can help with/fix things if necessary) and my mom (for Memory Maker). I was the first one in my room, so I control everyone but my mom who has her own MDE account. My sister has everyone else on hers- and we are linked so I can add everyone to my FP+ times. We had to add everyone on each other’s account to the other through the invites in order for me to have access to them for assigning tickets and FP+. This is time consuming, but has really helped now that we are less than 60 days out!

Once everyone is added and linked, when you are ready to make FP+ all you need to do is select the FP+ you want. Get yours set to the times/rides you want. Then go back in and copy them all to everyone else in your party by selecting them in the app. Everyone will have the same FP+! (This worked for me on A&E and SDMT, too, with 18 people!)

From there, you (or others) can go in can change rides or times for things they prefer. All you need to do is view the FP+, select modify, and then make sure ONLY the people changing have green checks next to them. Then, your plans stay the same and people who wanted a change get it.

I had to actually take screen shots and e-mail/text them to others, but copying plans with a large groups (for us) is much easier than individual groups going in and trying to match up rides and times for the things we want together.

Thank you for the info about the first login for each room controlling the account. I will be sure to be first for the room I share with DB and DSIL. I will have to see what the young folks (DN and family) want me to do. They both work and, with a then 5 and 1 1/2 year old, might not have a lot of time to spend with this. I am willing to do it for them if they wish. If I invite and link them, it sounds like they could make changes to my FP if they aren't careful about the check marks.

I suspect my DB will pick up tab for his family's meals and incidentals. I wonder if he can link his credit card to their room. The 5 year old and I share a birthday month - 5 and 60 in 2015 soI am paying for both rooms and the tickets - probably as 1 single reservation. If not, I don't mind getting a whole lot of Disney Visa rewards and settling up after. I know I will have to watch for when we get near the charge limit.

I have siblings with 3 and 4 kids, so this was definitely less time consuming for them! There is a chance for error, but it really is pretty easy to see the check marks. Anyone with a reasonable amount of intelligence should be able to do it.

You can also change it for them from your account- but that means they have to tell you what they want and when.
