I rechecked our rental car rates with national (after Mousesavers posted a low fall rate for Dollar) and they were down $45-85 from our previous reservation (we had a $199 per week reservation from early spring). Everything else I'd been seeing was way over 500 or 600 dollars.
We are staying for 12 days (nearly 2 weeks), but we are down to $410 for the 12 days, for a full-size AND renting from the airport location. (I also found a mid size at around $375).
Previously we were picking up at the car care center to save some $$, but the airport will be much less hassle. There is a $30/week discount on the National site good for rentals starting by 9/20.
If anyone has been waiting for rates to drop, you might want to check them!
