Express Pass for Veterans Weekend?

Two of us (young adults) are looking at doing 1 day at Universal Sun of Veterans Day weekend. We want to hit both parks & will stay onsite for early Harry Potter entry. With only 1 day to see it all I'm thinking the express pass may be worth it for us. Any thoughts? From what I can find EPs are worth it during summer but not so much fall, except maybe weekends & holidays. We've never been before & I'd hate to advise my friend we should buy them & then be utterly wrong. (Right now the math works out best to stay at CB & just buy the passes but I'll keep watching for any discounts for RPR with automatic EPs.)

If you wait 5 mins vs 15 that is still 10 mins saved so i would do it regardless. as 10 mins at one ride, 5 mins at another and 15 mins at another will add up throughout the day and you would have more free time. Also what if a ride breaks down for most of the day and when it opens the line is 30 mins to an hour long? Personally I am one to save time as much as i can.

Definitely worth it if only doing one day. you can wait to buy when you get there and determine you need it if you prefer.

are you referring to the Sunday in the first weekend of November this year? If so, be aware that the time frame includes both the end of jersey week & a big race weekend at WDW. We'll be there the same time frame & expect that weekend to be busy at all the parks. For past race weekends, I've skipped Disney and visited Universal to escape the crowds, not sure if that strategy still works.

Wow @thedjwaver that really puts things into perspective! Thanks for the input all, I'm going to go ahead and recommend we go for it considering how much will be going on that weekend!
