I've heard all about it, seen pictures and video clips online, but I'm confused. I called the park today to ask about the dates and was told begining of December, but told it was an invitation only event. I was also reading online Club 33 members get invited... so I'm confused. :confused3 Is this something the public buys tickets for as well, or is it just a matter of being in the park while it's going on? I've seen dinner packages for the Epcot processional so I'm assuming you can buy a similar package at DL... or am I wrong?

From what I have read on the DIS reserved seating is by invitation only this year. Usually the dining packages also had reserved seating so I am unsure if they are included or not this year.

The public can view the event by staking out a spot on Main St. We have done this in the past and have had GREAT seats on the curb in the roundabout. I would highly recommend you try to go if you will be at the park, it is amazing. Last year they also sold dining packages to APs which including reserved seating for the event, but it has not yet been announced if they will do that this year. Last year those tickets did not go on sale until November.

I noticed on the Disneyland Calender that the park hours for Monday 12/3 & Tuesday 12/4 (for Disneyland) is 9am - 6pm. (closing much earlier than other dates listed).

Would these be dates for the processional?

Nope, those would be the dates for the CM Parties.

The dates this year are the 1st and 2nd of Dec. It usually starts around 6:30ish

How far ahead do you have to stake out your place to watch?

If you decide to skip it, are the rides less crowded?
(We will be there for both nights, so wouldn't attend all showings.)
