EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Every knowledgeable castmember I've discussed this topic with said Disney is hoping the water dispenser in the lounge alleviates the need for individual bottles of water. When we were at the YC CL last summer we did receive plastic dasani bottled water whenever we asked for it, but several CMs mentioned to me they were being phased out and replaced by the water dispenser system. Same story at BWI CL last summer, they still had the glass evian bottles but said they were phasing them out to replace with the same water system. I'm sure for Disney it's a huge cost saving measure. Since those stays last summer we've been at the AKL CL and WL CL, both had water dispenser systems in place. I'm guessing some lounges will also keep bottled water on hand for guests who freak out ;) but I'm sure they want all the CMs to give the same uniform answer that they don't offer it unless forced to cough it up! :D Except for those who plan to keep individual bottles of course, I think someone recently said RPC still had them.

I know people are probably going to boo and hiss when I say this, but I actually like that they are phasing out bottled water and hope it continues....I know, I know it's not a popular opinion and one I would not have had until recently myself. I was actually annoyed in 2013 when AKL CL did not offer bottled water. But, with that being said, over the last year I've really been trying to avoid bottled water for cost and environmental reasons. I carry an empty Nalgene bottle around with me for work and travel and find I can fill it up almost anywhere or ask people to fill it up for me when we stop to eat. If you have water available in the CL lounge in the morning and then can get free water at QS locations for free across the parks it saves on a lot of wasted plastic. Or you bring your own reusable bottles and get them filled up in the morning at the lounge. Since you only have water in them you can easily rinse them out at night and they are ready the next morning. And I am sure it is a huge cost saver for WDW. Just my opinion, although understand completely why when people pay CL they expect the bottled water to be provided for the convenience.

Thank you, now I'm very happy :)

Just seconding mmmears post - AKL really is unique and we had a great stay when we were there. I was so worried we'd get here, after having paid for the Savannah room, and only see one giraffe the entire trip. But we saw tons of animals throughout the day and really enjoyed just relaxing on our balcony and watching the animals. It was great!

I wholeheartedly agree, in the real world. But. If they are giving cans of soda and beers, then they should water. Or give a Nalgeene bottle for water, it's club level, you can get those for a couple of dollars. And think of the goodwill that would bring. (Maybe leave in the room, so people aren't hoarding/ taking multiple a day....).

Oh I love the idea of giving each CL guest a Mickey Nalgene bottle at check-in! That would definitely go a long way to making it easier to transition away from bottled water to water dispensers/pitchers!

I generally think, as a whole, that people are more liberal at taking bottles of waters than cokes or beers. And there's not a good solution yet for communal beer and coke unless they add some taps and coke dispensers to CL. And actually, a coke dispenser would be a good idea!!!

And from what I've heard about people reusing Dasani bottles (refilling themselves and contaminating the dispenser), I don't like this at all. We are very big on recycling water bottles, etc around here so I say keep giving out water bottles...although a Disney Nalgene bottle (BPA free, of course) would be awesome as long as CMs monitor the refilling!

Hey everyone! I have been enjoying this thread so thank you for putting it together and keeping it up :)

We are splurging a bit this upcoming split stay with BC and CR CL reservations... I am really excited and was also immediately contacted by both IPO's :)

I have two questions:
Other than the obvious things like the food and separate check in - what are "special" CL things at BC and CR? I know AKL has the Safari so does BC or CR offer anything specific to it's CL?
Also, has anyone ever regretted spending the money on CL? Any bad experiences?

I appreciate y'all sharing your wisdom with this CL newbie :)

Totally agree! :thumbsup2

rxtiger Those suites at the CR are just gorgeous! and what a view either Bay Lake or the MK..Not to mention the lovely lounge on the 14th floor! Enjoy!! I do believe that one of the standard CL perks is the personalized check in....so I don't think that there is actually any advantage to doing on line check in...JMO....:goodvibes

Thanks! We have the MK view and cannot wait.

With the wide mouth refillable bottles there shouldn't be an issue with people touching the rim to the water dispenser...of course, you never know!!

I have never had a bad experience staying in any CL (knock on wood), and I have always found it to be well worth the money:) When my kids were young, we didn't even know CL existed...perhaps because we stayed at moderate resorts a lot then...but we didn't know what we were missing and still had an awesome time. Since we've only stayed CL for a long time now, we wouldn't want to do it any other way! It's just so relaxing to have breakfast and snacks ready for you...not to mention the wine and beer. I don't know of any "special" things offered at the resorts you've named, but maybe someone else might know of something. We've never really been drawn to "special" events because we fill our time with CL, parks, pool, and restaurants. I hope your trip is awesome and worth every penny!!

Our dentist prefers us to use tap water vs bottled water due to the fluoride in the water, that he feels is needed for the kids teeth.

and why not a coke dispenser? ;) I mean I can't imagine anything going wrong with that? (OK< yes, I'm being silly, this mom can see kids playing with it, but on the other hand there are those juice dispensers at the Fairfield Inns, Staybridge, etc hotels that have that free breakfast stuff!)

First time at CL (BC) and we live it!!!!
Came back after the parks today and had a great surprise
Our ds ( almost 4) is sure Mickey came in our room

Here are a few animal pics from our April stay. We loved sitting on the balcony watching the animals. They actually bedded down outside our room each night.

And appetizers one evening.

Sorry if these are repeat pics! We really enjoyed our stay.

What is a VIP guide?
A VIP tour guide. There are several different options for VIP tours, and the guides are very nice, knowledgeable Disney CMs. For me, it doesn't make sense because we only spend about three hours in a park per day and the tours are much longer...six hour minimum on the one that gets you unlimited fast passes (which is what I'd want). You can get info on the VIP tours on the Disney site.

Odd question. I told my kids we can eat ice cream for breakfast 1 day. Can a Club Level Cast Member get us ice cream that early? Of course I plan to pay for it, just not sure how to go about getting it. Staying at Beach Club

Beaches and Cream opens at 11:00 AM, but I'm guessing that probably isn't early enough for you guys. Hmmmm... I guess you would call in-room dining and see if you can order some through room service. Unless you could find a nice CM who is willing to get you some. That could be hit or miss depending on who is working and how busy they are.
