EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

About 3 weeks ago we made a reservation for July at the Boathouse through Open Table. It is still listed on my reservation lists however, I can no longer make a reservation through Open Table for the boathouse. Do you think our reservation is valid? Should I go ahead a try for one through MDE instead??? So confused!

I would call them. When I asked a couple of weeks ago they said they weren't taking reservations at all until May 15th.

That does help thank you so much. Did the room you stayed in have a day bed? Full balcony? View of lovely rooftop? TIA

That room had a full balcony and a daybed, also the view was much better than the roof, it was over the main entrance. I have pics! I will go find them for you. :)

We're staying CL at WL

I went ahead and did online check in, since the list for "requests" were just floor levels, close to elevator... if I'd like to request North Wing, do I call IPO? email?

(and I love that you bring a fan! I may just have to figure out a way to pack my fan! ;)

Here's the view:

You can see the room next door only had a juliet balcony.

When I did my online check-in for WL CL last winter I didn't choose any of those options. I just gave my requests to the IPO and also CRO.

Hi everyone!

My family is staying CL at the Beach Club this September (beyond excited!) for my daughters 4th birthday. I would like to have a cake and balloons delivered to our room on her birthday while we're at the Magic Kingdom. I emailed the Beach Club concierge and they basically brushed me off and gave me another number to call to order the cake. I am by no means high maintenance or demanding, but isn't this something they should be able to handle for me? I thought they were supposed to assist with things like this? Should I try again or do it myself?

Thank you!
Alissa

Yep, been there done that. They won't do it. Call in-room dining to order the cake and tell them the date and time you want it delivered. For balloons ask the CM sitting at the desk that day if they can round some up for you. If they won't then you have to order them from Disney florist.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm just surprised they won't do considering they're concierge. Do I need to order way in advance or a week before we arrive?

Thank you

Here's what I did last summer for my son.... I ordered the cake from in-room dining, got balloons and button from a CM who was at the desk that morning, then bought a few gifts downstairs in the gift shop:

Took a lot more work on my part than the CM who got the balloons for me. But I was happy to have some help at least. They looked at me like I had bugs coming out of my eyes! ;) LOL

Lol - it's not like you had an insane request or anything ... too funny. What you did looks great - your son must have loved it. I'll take your advice and do what you did :)

I just called the Wilderness Lodge Private Dining to order a cake for our CL stay. I also spent some time looking through the Disney Florist website trying to decide if I wanted to add any other items..

The first page of this thread is where I got all the information I needed
http://www.disboards.com/threads/official-disney-cake-chatter-part-iv.3261922/

I'm also ordering a cake for one other occasion, its DH's birthday, and we are doing a split stay, but from reading that thread it seems that the Contemporary or the Grand Floridian bakeries have better choices than the Epcot restaurants, but... I think we'll have enough just being CL for WL...

Can you order from another resort or does my cake have to come from the Beach Club?

I believe its the Yacht Club Bakery that Lurkyloo (from that thread, she maintains it and if you click on the links in the first post, it goes to pictures and information she's collected) mentioned. I just asked her about calling the Boardwalk Bakery.

So I'm deciding if I want to pick it up myself at the Boardwalk Bakery, or have in room dining deliver it, and for that I have to decide what kind of a cake I want, do I want to spend $100 on a fancy shmancy cake, or just get a basic cake and get a fancy shmancy bottle of wine!

IF you wanted a cake from Contemporary (the chefs there do amazing fancy fun cakes!) and didn't have a reservation, people have posted they have it delivered to the Wave restaurant

ETA> Here's the link to the list of resorts:

Lurkyloo and her thread are awesome. She has very helpful and accurate info over there. Mini cakes start at just $35. We ordered a 6" cake with fondant and a hand-painted goofy figure on top for our dinner at Chef Mickey's (don't ask - bucket list for our youngest son, and it was his birthday) and the total cost was $74. We were a party of seven and had tons of leftovers.

Can anyone recommend a room number to request for WL-CL? Hoping to get a decent view!

Instead of requesting a certain room number, it's usually a good idea to articulate your request in terms that help the room assignor understand what you would like. We wanted a good view, so requested "inner courtyard view." Loved it! While standing, we could see the pool, the lake and the EWP from our balcony!
