EXPIRED: Part ONE of 2015 CLUB LEVEL (CL) INFORMATION and HELP Thread DO NOT POST HERE!!!

Congrats on your first CL stay :goodvibes. I have seen kids of all ages alone in the lounge, so they should be fine.

I have seen some of the same things, unfortunately :sad2:.

My kids (12 and 14) go to the lounge alone. I've trained them not to touch anything with their fingers, always use tongs, don't cut in front of people, don't take more than 2 of anything at a time, stuff like that. I trust them. :thumbsup2 I have seen some pretty gross stuff (kids touching food, putting things back, taking too much, coughing and sneezing on food, etc) so I know there are other parents who might not supervise their kids or teach them proper manners. :sad2:

Thanks for the feedback. I have taught my kids manners and will go over all the rules again, so hopefully they will behave themselves. I will give the staff permission to kick them out if they do not listen. ;) (usually the idea of getting in trouble is enough to keep them in line.) I think they will enjoy the little bit of freedom.:littleangel:

I think the CMs have more freedom to say things than they use to. At the BC CL in March I witnessed a CM approach a family in the lounge, who were soaking wet from the pool and barefoot, and ask them to leave and return with clothes and shoes on. I was so proud of him for doing that I had to contain myself from cheering out loud. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

:thumbsup2

Thanks much :flower3:

One thing the BWI CL lounge has over YC/BC is their view. It looks towards the World Showcase. :thumbsup2 YC/BC lounges both look out the front of their resorts into trees. If I would have been the builder of those resorts I would have had a lounge facing the lake and the BW. ::yes::

Glad you had a great Poly CL stay. We love the Poly and are hoping to try CL as I've heard very good things about it. I'm sorry about the gummy bear incident, not a pleasant thing to see :sad2:.
This was our first time staying club level. We love the Polynesian to pieces, and staying club level made us love it even more. I don't think we will ever go back to staying regular garden view at the Polynesian. It will forever be club level from here on out. The cast members were amazing and friendly, the snack/food selection throughout the day was fantastic and let's not forget the desserts at night! We had many breakfast reservations booked that we ended up cancelling because we loved to have breakfast at the lounge.

The construction did not bother us at all, and in fact watching Wishes and the Electrical Water Pagent from the lounge was a spectacular experience. I would recommend the Polynesian club level to anyone. i think we are head over heels in love!

We were thinking about switching hotels after hearing about the construction, but we are so glad we did not.

Me again. :wave2: Still deciding what to do. :scratching

My family wasn't on board for an entire switch over to GF, mostly because they'd prefer to stay CL (and SL isn't available, and neither is RPC, even if I could/would pay for all three nights RPC). YC CL is still not open for our entire three night stay, but I could get it for the first two nights of our trip. Similarly, I could get RPC at the GF for the last night of our trip (which is our anniversary night) but the $815 (with an AP discount!!) cost for the night, well, we've always wanted to stay RPC, but is it worth it??? I guess what I'm asking is the food and service more spectacular than SL and the best in all of the land of CL?

If I were to modify our current non-CL YC reservation, what would you choose for a 3 night stay?

2 YC CL + 1 GF RPC = +421
2 YC CL + 1 GF (no CL) = +67
2 YC (no CL) + 1 GF RPC (anniversary night) = +206

OR, I currently have 3 nights booked at the YC in a GV room. It's showing no availability for our third night, but, theoretically, I guess if I modify the reservation, I could do two nights CL at the YC and then move into a non-CL room. If I did this, I'd owe nothing--I'd just eat approximately $200 of my $300 credit.

Thanks for your opinions!

If the group doesn't want to do the GF I would just stick with YC for the whole 3 nights. I don't think it would be worth it to switch for one night especially since the others don't want to go. DH and I did a WDW trip for our 10th anniversary and split it up into a bunch of short stays because we couldn't get all the nights at the same place. I think we did a AKL CL/Poly CL/OKW split with only 1 or 2 nights at each one. It was fun but it really took away a lot of park time. I don't think I would do it again. Pretty much my rule of thumb is a minimum of 3 nights at each resort. Also I would never pay over $800 for a night at the GF RPC. Even though it is wonderful I don't think it's worth that much. I'd take that extra $500 bucks and book the Grand One! :thumbsup2

Staying at BCR CL in September. Is it true that the CMs in the lounge are standing by the wine and liquor and pouring it out for you? They've already been cutting down in their offerings over the years. What's the point in this?

OMGosh it was a MIRACLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was on hold for 56 minutes, finally got through and was able to change it!!!!!!!!!!!! THE KIDS ARE GOING TO FLIP OUT!!!!!!!!! :dance3: I'm so excited, I need to go change my signature!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

WooHoo!!:cheer2::cool1:

I haven't read anything about the BC doing this but yes we've had 2 people report they are pouring wine from a cart at the YC CL. Totally ridiculous. :crazy2: I'm going to flat out ask them why when I get there next month. I'm wondering if something happened... like maybe people were pouring it into syrofoam cups or mugs and taking it into the parks or on the bus? There has to be a reason.

Thanks for your thoughts! Would you do the 2 nights CL and last night non-CL all at the YC? Or too much of a hassle to move? I wish that third night would open up! At least we'd have access to the lounge for most of our trip since we could still access it after our move back to a regular room...

I probably would. Plus I'd keep checking back to switch that 3rd night to CL. And I'd also ask again at check-in about CL for the 3rd night. :thumbsup2

I agree!

And re: split stays...DH HATES split stays and has refused to do them in the past. I think the only reason he agreed was because we have 5 nights at 1 and 4 nights at another. Anything less than 4 nights would definitely be pushing it. But it would at least be easier if it was just moving rooms at the same resort.

Oh, your DH would hate our family then, LOL. We are doing 6 splits over 2+ weeks in July. (is there a crazy emoticon?) This will be an unusual trip in that we don't have any major splits, other than our arrival night at the Dolphin since we're getting in so late… I can't imagine staying at a resort longer than 3-4 nights--there's just too many awesome ones to stay at!

6 splits???????????? :scared1:

I thought 3 was bad! :lmao:

Ha! Yep! And my whole family is all on board for the insanity! We actually pared it down from 8 (two Universal hotels were nestled in there as well--we decided to skip Uni this summer since it's likely to be insane).

We did a 1-night-at-each CL split (except GF, where we used our DVC points) at all of the monorail resorts back in March. It was awesome. :) I know how to pack for them, and my kids are capable of moving their own luggage, so it's not nearly as bad as you'd think.

Which six are you doing this summer? :)

BWI CL lounge has a view of the World Showcase?!? :faint:

Oh my, this decision keeps getting tougher and tougher

Which six are you doing this summer? :)

BWI (CL)
WL (on points)
AKL, Kidani (on points)
Poly (CL)
GFV (on points)
YC (CL)

The only thing that I wish I did differently was move the hotels in a better order for more convenience with moving (like MK hotels all together, Epcot hotels all together). I'm usually better with that, but the way things worked out with availability and me changing things (because I have a hard time settling on a plan, obviously), it is where it is, and I can't change anything at this point. :) I love that we have CL at the beginning, middle and end of the vacation, but it's been interesting deciding if I should do any groceries for our non CL days to cover breakfast and drinks and a little bit of snacks. I just think it will be too much of a hassle to move anything other than luggage, so we'll probably just suck it up and deal with the expense. :)
