Our latest info is that it will be in 'soft' opening (i.e open unannounced and with the possibility of closing from time to time) in early Feb. The official opening date remains April 7.
I rode this over the weekend, this is a spectacular coaster, IMHO if not THE best attraction on Disney property it's in the top 3.
Expect big queues for this ride, but it will be worth it. Disney has pulled out all the stops on this one.
Hi,
I was at AK today hopin to ride with my AP's. Unfortunately cast members were the only people accepted. I was informed that AP's would be OK from Thursday onwards. I only popped up there to try the ride so I was a bit disapointed. Never mind we went to MGM & rode TT & RnR! They are still 2 of the coolest rides in WDW. Might try again in February following a business trip to Minneapolis.
All the local news stations here in Orlando have been reporting on EE over the last couple of days and commenting that it is open to passholders this week, "ahead of next month's official opening".

according to the more informative sites (like jim hill) this ride is way ahead of schedule and is having the smoothest testing run of any 'e' ticket ride (as compared, for example, to the very difficult opening of test track)...
they've only had one major problem with EE thus far and they think they've come up with a solution for it, so everything is looking 'go for launch'.....
