There are some business that are decorated and others have no Christmas spirit

no chimney.......when we had one we only lit it when the power went off......too much cold air comes in

When we are on December trips to parks, we both wear Santa hats. Tom has a beard, and we get many references to Mr & Mrs Claus!

Is the area that you live, and the areas that you frequent such as businesses, neighborhoods, .... all decked out for the holidays?

There aren't a whole lot of lights up in our neighbourhood, but we went to a road called Taffy Lane the other night to check out the Christmas decorations there. It was like walking into a Christmas movie. One guy was out in his driveway dressed in lights waving at people. His yard was brighter than day with all the decorations!

We do have a fireplace but never use it. Growing up, we had a wood stove and my father used it to partially heat the house.

Yes! Kaylee is getting a red and green rope dog toy. I will use it as a perch so that she has an easier time getting to the top of her cage.

... the batteries. I bought a bunch of batteries, knowing that some of the gifts I bought needed them, and possibly other presents that we had received.

We have bought presents for our dogs, and cats.

With all of the holiday cooking/foods-ham, turkey, prime rib, seafood, pasta, ..... once Christmas is over, do you tend to eat lots of leftovers, or do you like to eat a simple meal-soup, sandwich, things that are not so heavy?

Thankfully, my mother cooks all the food. I may take SOME leftovers home, and make turkey sandwiches. But otherwise, I'm lucky in that I don't have to eat a lot of them.
