What is your most favorite winter activity?
When both of my kids were born and for surgery.Have you ever have to stay in the hospital? If so, what was it for?
Yes. The parade is not as long as it used to be because part of the route is on a major thoroughfare in town. Different organizations make floats and there are three trophys given. The two high school bands march together, the drill teams march also but separately I think. The Sheriff's Posse ride their horses as do a local equestrian group. Some organizations just walk with no float. Local public officials and pageant winners ride in expensive cars. A local antique car club might be there. A firetruck and police car rides along turning on it siren occasionally. The Shriners usually are there. Some people walk along and give out candy, others coupons for local businesses. And, of course, Santa brings up the rear. It's a pretty big production. It got so large that they finally had to put a cap on the number of entrants. I remember once when the kids were little that there were over 100 different floats/groups walking in the parade.Does your town have a Christmas Parade? If so, tell us about it. Are there floats, do people pass out candy, are there Christmas lights.....?
