In England our traditional Christmas dinner is more like a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. So we are serving (for 9 people):
Starter: Home made carrot and coriander soup.
Main: Turkey, roast potato, roast parsnip, caulifower, sprouts with chestnuts, peas, carrots, cranberry sauce, mini sausages wrapped in bacon, stuffing and turkey gravy.
Desert: Traditional Christmas pudding with rum sauce.
We will also have Christmas crackers on the table (something I found out when we went to WDW for Christmas 5 years ago you don't have in the USA!!)
This will all be washed down with vintage Vuervue Cliquoit Frencg champagne.
Not sure about New Years day yet, we will have to chat to our friends who we will be spending the day with.
