Since I've been away, I've got alot to get caught up on:
QOTD 4/22: I have a crockpot, but seldom use it.
QOTD 4/23: Balsamic Vinagrette on the side please!
QOTD 4/24: I created some Easter baskets for the kids and left them after we went back to the trailer the night before at my MIL's place for the kids to find. Instead of a Easter Egg hunt, I got two large easter eggs and hid them at my MIL's place to find, and it saved alot of wars between the kids as they are so competitive. After lunch we went to Dinner Bay, where the Lions Club held a free Easter Egg hunt for the locals. The kids found one egg, and they traded it in for a sandwich bag of Easter goodies. Have decided to keep the one large Egg hunt, as the kids liked it alot better.

QOTD: 4/25 We like any kind of sausage.

QOTD: 4/26: I like any kind of waffle, but usually buy them frozen.

I had gotten two tags-Gardening is a fun and rewarding hobby, and From the Aloha State-(I think that is what it says). But feel free to list another exchangers name, along with a NICE tag for them.

For today's Qotd - I took a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and a bag of chips, don't remember what i had to drink. Then there were some field trips that we were able to buy our food.

Usually a sandwich, chips and cookies for myself way back in the day.

For my kids, usually the same, maybe add grapes, also a drink of some kind. Or a lunchable with a drink inside. It usually depended on the field trip and where they were going. Sometimes we could purchase a sack lunch from the school. When they got older, they were usually allowed to purchase a meal.

In your neighborhood, town, city..... what sort of things are around that are making you think of SPRING!!! :flower3:

Allergies are acting up (spring/summer is worst then fall/winter)

All the rain

The deer are more active and are losing their winter coats

The blue jays are back

The forsythia is blooming

Daffodils are are blooming

I'm thinking we might be past spring  It's hot as all get out here, the bugs are CRAZY, allergies are insane ... but on the plus side, we've got blackberries starting to grow, zucchini blooming, tomatoes on the vine ...

Actually we are already thinking summer here even though it's technically still spring. Allergies have been in full bloom for about two months now. Some tomato plants have been already producing (mine haven't). Grass has been mowed about five times already. Temps have hit 90 once though it's nice out at the moment.

What's been really bad for the last month is the wind. Plus the storms with all the tornados. None in my immediate vacinity but about 40 miles south was hit two days in a row earlier this week. In fact, the same system that hit Alabama hit here first.

So, I guess you could say that having tornados is a sign of spring here.

It sometimes feel as if summer were already here as well when it is really hot, and muggy. I enjoy having my kids home, and not doing the entire school routine, but would rather have the Fall weather throughout the summer.

Seeing the coffee on the trees tells us that summer will soon be approaching, and it will soon be coffee season again.

Royal wedding question.....

Did you watch the Royal Wedding? What did you think about it?

I did not stay up to watch it since it was around one o'clock our time, but had seen of it this morning. Very pretty wedding dress, and a very cute couple. And TONS of people-WOW!

Spring: Daffodils and tulips are blooming,
Allergies have me sneezing,
Weather is getting warmer with less rain and the frost is no more
The Cherry blossom trees are out in full bloom
Our Magnolia tree is in bloom at our other place and my MIL huge
Magnolia tree is a sight to see.

I didn't watch the Royal wedding as it was on at 1am our local time. But i did watch a little of it this morning, after dropping the kids off to school. I liked the simplicity of Kate's dress and they make a cute couple. Will watch the highlights of their wedding tonight on prime time.

I turned the wedding on while I was walking on my treadmill this morning. I tuned in right when they were walking out of the Cathedral. I took a shower during the waiting time while they were in the palace and made it out just in time to see them walk out on the balcony, saw the two kisses.

I thought her dress was beautiful. I hope that their marriage is more successful than Prince Charles and Princess Di's. Kate looks so much more able to handle the press. I wish them well.

No i did not watch the wedding.

As for Charles and Di's, i knew it wouldn't last, as he didn't lover her. It was a matter of convince because he couldn't marry Camila back then.
