Every-ONE is coming up DAISY!!! WDW & WWoHP w/ LOTS of pics - FINISHED 10/13, p 24

Great update! The Dumbo play area looks great. Such a smart move on Disney's part. I just love reading about how people form good friendships on here!

The Dumbo play area looks like fun. We haven't played on it yet. Each time we have gone Bayleigh just wants to get to the ride. She loves Dumbo.

Yay for fun Disney packages in the mail! :dance3:

And yay for Disney friends who are so kind to pick up things for us! :cheer2:

Anything we eat off of a Disney plate is much tastier, too! :goodvibes

We really appreciate the Dumbo play area, too. It's nice for kids to get a break from being in a stroller and or just walking from ride to ride and get to do some run, jumping, and climbing.

Seth seems to like Small World more than his mommy. ;) Watching kids' expressions on Small World is classic Disney to me. There is something special about the first time we take each new baby on this ride. Of our three, Brooklynn (at about 10 months) had the very best reactions and expressions, because she was much older and more aware than Bella at 3 1/2 months and Sophie at 6 weeks.

I like Seth's bowl and plate. I really like the circus area. The souvenir shop in the circus tent is so cute. We spent a lot of time in there.

Aren't those packing peanuts the best??? I'm glad that Seth enjoyed his package and everything inside....

I think that the entire Big Top area is the best part of the whole Fantasyland expansion.
I might change my mind if they ever get the mine train open, but I doubt it. That Dumbo playground and the splash area is genius!

I got a package from Anita also. I forgot I asked for it. LOL. They are great people.

great update and pics.

Danielle got a package from Ms Anita too once. They are the best packages. I can't wait to see "Saving Mr. Banks". I've already told the family we are going. I like the idea of seeing "Mary Poppins" right before going.

Looks like y'all hit all the kid favorites. Danielle loved Small World her first trip and still has to ride it every trip. There is something special about seeing this rides through our little kids eyes. My personal favorite is Peter Pan.

Okay, I am finally back and all caught up.

Love the photopass pics, with and without a sleeping, Seth.

So sorry about the memory card and the pictures. I would have been very upset too.

So glad your client was able to get BOG...so many people haven't been able to get it.

I know! It's been crazy. I had another girl who wanted it but booked inside of 180 days. I told her we probably wouldn't be able to get it but I'd keep checking. Well, I finally got it but at like 8:05 on her arrival day, and her plan doesn't land until 5:00. I called her and she said to snag it, that she'd take a taxi from the airport to MK if she had to, to get that reservation! :lmao:

I finally get caught up and comment and you sneak in another update. :lmao::lmao:

Aren't Anita and Marc the best? I got to meet them at Disney last month and wonderful people.

Isn't that new Dumbo area awesome. A brilliant idea on Disney's part.

I'm with you...I can't stand It's a Small World. Unfortunately, I have to ride it every trip with my little kid, my hubby--Mark. :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry about that! Glad you saw it though. :thumbsup2

They are great! I have met them once but I wasn't too familiar with who they were back then. I live near Atlanta and there was a meet about an hour from our house, so I went to that. Jill and Memom were there and so was Jackie. That's where I met Marc and Anita.

Love the new Dumbo area! It's really just a great idea by Disney.

I've ridden Small World 4 times as an adult - twice with Seth b/c I knew he'd love it, once with a friend who had never been before and we were there for her 30th birthday, and then once with Erica (VandyFan10) at about midnight during EMH after having multiple sangrias at Hoop Dee Doo and a Lapu Lapu beforehand. I may have dozed off that last time. :rotfl2:

Great update, looks like the boys had fun together. I play area of Dumbo is such a great idea. And the way Disney carried out the theme is excellent.
Small World looks like it was a hit for Seth. I guess it will become a "must see" for a few years? Lunch at CHH or Pinocchio's?:confused3 You were right there.

Thank you for posting the link to Mr Banks trailer, it does look great. All of us Disney lovers will have to see it, and I may have to watch Mary Poppins again too. Maybe before and after I see the movie.

Totally agree about Dumbo. And yes, we will be visiting Small World until he says he's not interested any more. Then I will gladly give it up. ;) Oh, I'll definitely be watching Mary Poppins before I see Saving Mr. Banks. Can't wait!

Great update! The Dumbo play area looks great. Such a smart move on Disney's part. I just love reading about how people form good friendships on here!

It was excellent! I was very impressed with the entire Dumbo area. Lynda and I met back in 2007 on a disboards thread, and we've met in real life twice since then, but both times were very brief. So we made up for it this trip!

The Dumbo play area looks like fun. We haven't played on it yet. Each time we have gone Bayleigh just wants to get to the ride. She loves Dumbo.

I had to peel Seth away to ride! :rotfl: But he liked both.

Yay for fun Disney packages in the mail! :dance3:

Disfriends rock!!! :worship:

I was so impressed with the Dumbo area. Great job, Disney! :thumbsup2

Seth was 13 months the first time he rode it and it was adorable. This time was pretty great, too. I will continue to ride it and enjoy watching his reaction to it. But the minute he tells me, "Mom, that ride is lame," I will secretly giggle to myself and tell him that I suppose we don't have to ride it. ;)

I like Seth's bowl and plate. I really like the circus area. The souvenir shop in the circus tent is so cute. We spent a lot of time in there.

I didn't even go in there! Wish I had. Well, actually I don't. I would have spent too much money. :lmao:

Aren't those packing peanuts the best??? I'm glad that Seth enjoyed his package and everything inside....

I think that the entire Big Top area is the best part of the whole Fantasyland expansion.
I might change my mind if they ever get the mine train open, but I doubt it. That Dumbo playground and the splash area is genius!

He was obsessed with the packing peanuts and cried when I took them away. :rotfl: So thank you for sending the plates, and for packing them in the peanuts! :)

I think you're right about the circus area. Such great theming and areas for the kids. We are returning there in the TR shortly. ;)

I got a package from Anita also. I forgot I asked for it. LOL. They are great people.

great update and pics.

They are awesome! I kinda forgot about it too until I got the package, then I knew what it was before I even opened it. :goodvibes

Danielle got a package from Ms Anita too once. They are the best packages. I can't wait to see "Saving Mr. Banks". I've already told the family we are going. I like the idea of seeing "Mary Poppins" right before going.

So sweet!

Yes, I will be watching Mary Poppins prior to seeing the movie too. It looks so good!

I love all the Fantasyland rides except Small World. And while I don't like the ride, I do love watching Seth take it all in! :lovestruc

I'll have to check it out this week. This is the first time were going during the summer. I know it's going to be very busy and hot, which we are used to since we live in South Florida. It will be the perfect place to get away from the heat in the AC, but still allow her time to play.

Update time!

So it was lunchtime. Where to go? My original plan was Be Our Guest. However, after seeing the line earlier that day (nowhere near lunchtime, mind you), I was re-thinking that plan. I know the line moves fast. However, with a 2-year-old, not fast enough. And it was HOT. I could send my mom somewhere with Seth while I waited, but that just seemed like a lot of unnecessary trouble and coordination. Plus I didn't know if Lynda would be up for all that. And who would watch Avery while we waited in the hot sun?

We were literally steps away from Pinnochio's, and I had heard their new pizzas were pretty good, so to Pinnochio's we went. Mom said she'd take Seth and grab a table, and just to get something for she and I to split. So I opted for the pepperoni meal. The caprese looked better to me, but I didn't know if she'd like that and I'm not too picky. I got Seth a kids cheese pizza meal (which he didn't eat much of...too much excitement to eat). And I also got a side of fries b/c when all else fails, Seth will eat fries ANYTIME! :rotfl: The meal on the back is Lynda's - it's the caprese and it looked yummy!

The flatbread style pizzas were super good. I was happy! :thumbsup2

After lunch we decided to head back towards Gaston's Tavern for a treat. We saw these guys on the way. Kinda cool how the Beast's Castle is in the background.

The line for Be Our Guest, and the Beast's Castle in the background...

Another one of the Beast's Castle....

Back to Gaston's Tavern. I loved this area. Gaston is one of my favorite characters, and the song "Gaston" is one of my favorites, as well. This entire area just reminds me of that scene (which I think is the point).

The menu (beneath the shooting targets)....

Loved the portrait above the fireplace....

Sippin' on a LeFou's Brew in Gaston's manly chair....

My LeFou's Brew....

It was good! Very sweet but good. I shared and put some in Seth's sippy cup and he seemed to like it, too. It was so hot that day (probably our hottest day), so I think he appreciated anything cold!

We exited Gaston's Tavern and the first thing I see when we get outta there is this....

WHAT A HUNK!!! ::yes:: I didn't wait to meet him - the line was pretty long. But glad I saw him anyway.

We decided to head back to Storybook Circus to possibly ride the Barnstormer and let the boys play in the water. Lynda said sometimes they had the walkway open from the Little Mermaid area to the Storybook Circus area, but they didn't that day, so we had to do a u-turn and go back into old Fantasyland, then back around the to the circus area. I hated that. It was very inconvenient and caused a confused crowded area around LM. Hopefully once the mine train is done they will have this area open all the time.

We got back to Storybook Circus and the wait for Barnstormer was more than I wanted to deal with - something like 30 minutes with little to no shade. No thanks. We would be back to MK anyway. So off to the water play area we go.

It took Seth a few minutes to get the hang of this, but once he did, OH MY!!! HE LOVED IT!!!! This was probably the most fun I had the entire trip, just watching him run around here and play. It was so awesome! :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

First I'll post the videos, then the pictures. A few of the pics were taken by Lynda and she sent them to me....thanks, Lynda! :worship:

(Click to play.)

By this time he was totally soaked (and I wasn't dry any more, either!). I love how he freezes for a few seconds in this one.

Continued in next post: http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=49018722&postcount=171

Here are the pics. I love these.

(And yes, that kid is in his undies. Working in the court system, seeing how sick some people can be, NO WAY would I let my kid run around in public in his underwear at that age. I was a bit taken back by that.)

As you can see, I didn't end up staying dry. :rotfl:

I love this one that Lynda took of Seth and Avery....

We absolutely loved this area and Seth had such a great time playing here. Worth the trip in and of itself!

After a ton of play time, we took the boys to the bathroom to change clothes (loved these bathrooms, by the way) and then decided to head out. I want to say it was close 2pm and we wanted a nice, long afternoon break before our dinner plans that evening.

We took some photopass pics on the way out.....

Seth is wondering what the heck we're waving at....

We said bye to Lynda but only for a little while - we would be meeting them for dinner that evening. Then we headed over to WL by boat.

So pretty....

Seth checkin out that famous fountain again....

I think I actually took this by mistake by having my phone on video instead of camera (click to play)....

Before we were even off property, I turned around in the car to see this....

PLAYED OUT.

We got back to the condo, I put Seth down for a nap and then we relaxed for the afternoon! :cloud9:

I did have to run back over to WL to pick up Terrie and Joshua around 4pm...I didn't mind b/c I got to see this pretty place again!

Next time.....GOOD FOOD!!!!! :dance3:

Loved the videos! Such simple joy. Kids just love to get wet.

The flatbread looked real good. I'm going to have to give that a try. The last time we ate there in 2006 it was pizza.

I'm all caught up now! :thumbsup2 Loving it Dawn! We had so much fun at MK that day! And my pizza was yummy!

That was fun!

Love the new Dumbo area! It's really just a great idea by Disney.

I agree. The idea of a play area while waiting for Dumbo as an option is brilliant, in my opinion.
And splashing water + kids = fun times! :cool1:

Seth was 13 months the first time he rode it and it was adorable. This time was pretty great, too. I will continue to ride it and enjoy watching his reaction to it. But the minute he tells me, "Mom, that ride is lame," I will secretly giggle to myself and tell him that I suppose we don't have to ride it. ;)

One day, you will miss riding this with him and seeing his reactions.

My LeFou's Brew....

It was good! Very sweet but good.

We got one to share, but I'm not an apple juice person, so it really wasn't for me. It was a little too sweet for the girls, and in the end, I think John may have finished it off.

We got back to Storybook Circus and the wait for Barnstormer was more than I wanted to deal with - something like 30 minutes with little to no shade. No thanks.

That is a hot line. Too bad they didn't create some more shade there.

It's often just the simple things that give us the best memories.

Aren't these so cute??

Thank you so much, Anita and Marc, for getting this for us!! He loves it and every time he eats off of the plate he says, "Train??? Water???" So cute! I'm so glad to have made such good disfriends here. You guys are awesome! :grouphug:

Those plates are super cute! I might have to get one next time :)

They are pretty awesome!! And I'm SO glad I got to meet both Anita & Marc!! :hyper:

The boys played for about 25 minutes or so and then we decided to fly with Dumbo!

I think Will just wants to play. He doesn't even care to ride the ride :rotfl:

He noticed Captain Hook and kept telling me it was Hook - he knows him really from Jake & the Neverland Pirates more than anything.

We have watched Peter Pan every day this week. The funniest thing he said to me was 'mommy, that is a different Capt Hook!' :rotfl2: HA! I told him that was a very old Capt Hook :upsidedow

He adored this ride, and I adored watching him. As much as I don't like the ride itself, I would ride it 100 times to watch him take it all in. :goodvibes

DITTO! :goodvibes

Really enjoying your TR! I'm only on the first part but had to comment real quick before reading some more how great your pics are and how cute your son is! I loved the video of the fountain - wonder what he was trying to say lol

I took this video while we were sitting there. I have no idea what he's saying but his gesturing is funny! :rotfl:

Those chicken nuggets look so good! Cute video :thumbsup2 (altho as a Grandma myself, my heart was in my throat worrying that he might fall off the fountain! I'm always overprotective when I'm around my grandkids - my daughter is always scolding me lol What a little cutie your son is!)

Seeing how happy Seth is playing in the water area just made my whole day. Is there anything better than one of those smiles of pure happiness?

Wow, that pizza looks really good!

I really want to stay at WL someday! It just looks perfect!

All caught up! You hadn't posted on FB that you updated so I wasn't sure, then I decided you must have so I checked and there ya go! :) Great updates. Again, just makes me want to take AJ again. Keeping my fingers crossed we can make it happen but due to some life changes, it may be longer than I had originally planned. Though my dad has thrown around the idea of Thanksgiving at Disney this year (and even buying into DVC), but we shall see...

We got experience the Dumbo stuff July 2012 but AJ was only 9.5 months so we didn't do much. It'll be great once we go back though.

Looking forward to more!

I enjoyed your update, Seth looked so happy playing in the water. That line for BoG looks SO long. My daughter would have stood in it but I can't imagine trying to keep a little one occupied for that long, especially in the heat.

I know I will miss seeing him on IaSW, but I won't miss the music or the creepy dolls! :rotfl2:

I don't know if LeFou's Brew was made in reaction to Butterbeer at Islands of Adventure, or if the timing is just a coincidence, but Butterbeer was waaaaaay better. They were both good but Butterbeer won, hands down. (That was the only thing at Universal that was better than Disney, though! I really wish Disney could've gotten the Harry Potter stuff!)

Those plates are super cute! I might have to get one next time :)

Seth did okay with leaving the play area but I think it was only b/c I told him, "Let's go ride," and he wanted to know what we were gonna ride!

Every time Seth sees Peter Pan he yells, "Off we goooooo!" He's seen it so many times at the beginning if Disney movies! :rotfl:

Really enjoying your TR! I'm only on the first part but had to comment real quick before reading some more how great your pics are and how cute your son is! I loved the video of the fountain - wonder what he was trying to say lol

Thanks so much for reading! No idea what he was jabbering about. He wasn't very vocal until after he was 2. He could talk...he just didn't do it much. So he still sometimes says things and I have no clue what he's saying. I just nod and smile. :rotfl:

Oh, and I'm a worry wart myself. But I think I was just so tired and I was just happy he was content, so I let him do it! Thanks for the compliments about Seth. He's a keeper! :goodvibes

Seeing how happy Seth is playing in the water area just made my whole day. Is there anything better than one of those smiles of pure happiness?

Wow, that pizza looks really good!

I really want to stay at WL someday! It just looks perfect!

I know! He had such a blast there. WL is gorgeous. We stayed there in 2011 and LOVED it.

Yeah, I've been MIA on the peeps group over there and I felt it inappropriate to post only about my TR....haha! :rolleyes1 And I know what life changes you're talking about, missy!!!! :cool1: We are aiming for December 2014 for our next trip. Although I'm not completely nixing a mini trip before then but we shall see how our money situation is over the next year.

I enjoyed your update, Seth looked so happy playing in the water. That line for BoG looks SO long. My daughter would have stood in it but I can't imagine trying to keep a little one occupied for that long, especially in the heat.

Thanks! He absolutely loved it! Yeah, long lines and 2-year-olds don't mix. And because we've gone so often, I don't sweat over it if I have to skip something b/c of a long line. I know we'll be back. ;)
