Epcot/Illuminations

Please excuse a Disney novice :O).

Illuminations is in Epcot, correct? Is it worth seeing? Is there a good spot? What time would you plan a meal to see it?

Is there a way to find out what day it will be? It's not every single day, correct?

Yes, it is in Epcot. It is definitely worth seeing. Any spot really around the Lagoon is a good spot. I would plan a meal about 2 hours before it. It is every day.

It's at Epcot everyday at 9pm. And its definitely a "must see".

DH and I love Illuminations. It is very different from Wishes at MK, but still magical and upbeat. We watched from Canada this last time (caught Off-Kilter while we were waiting ). We have watched from Japan, UK and France on previous trips.

Check the times guide (available when you enter the park and in many shops) for the night you plan to be there. I think it was at 8:00 last week (may have been 9 but I think 8). It is also listed on the disney site.

Illuminations can be seen from anywhere around the World Showcase lagoon. Some things to consider for a good viewing spot: direction of the wind!!!!!! You don't want to be downwind. trees in front of or above you, or islands between you and the center of the lagoon.

Illuminations is at 9pm every night except (currently) Friday nights when it is being shown at 8pm and during the Christmas holiday season when it is at 9:30pm.

As far as eating, I'd recommend eating a couple of hours before. If you want to eat during, then you can try for the patio seating at Rose & Crown (England). Patio seating is not guaranteed and can't be requested until you arrive.
