Emma & Scott's Wishes Wedding-10/16/12-WP/GF-*UPDATE-Planning Trip TR*

That sounds so beautiful. I can't wait to see pics. The glitter and fireworks is going to be fantastic! You are way ahead of me; my bridesmaids still have to get their dresses but we finally chose one lol.

Yes, I am very excited about the wedding; I cannot wait. That would be so cool if you popped in to see it! :)

We are trying to fit in a trip to the nail salon on your weddign day as I have a VR to go to on Monday :) What time is your ceremony again? I would love to see you!!!!!

Glad you chose your BM dresses! :thumbsup2

I second Event Bella! I had "Happily Ever After" and our Date on it and it was $250 shipped! So great!

Very pleased to hear a good review of Event bella, Tamara has been very helpful so far!

I love recieving packages, even more so when they are for the wedding and this week we have been lucky :)

Wishing Tree Tags
We received our wishing tree tags thanks to a wonderful Etsy seller, all the way from Canada so such fab service! Here they are, the blue ribbons match the BM dresses and mens ties

We will keep them wrapped up until the wedding!

I Do Shoe Stickers
We also received our "I Do" stickers for our shoes, this can be another something blue for me!

I hope we get some good photos with these in :thumbsup2

Flower Girl Gifts
The UK Disney Store has a new Disney Princess Charm bracelets, they will be releasing a new charm every month from January until October so perfect timing for our wedding! I have ordered one each for our Flower Girls gifts, gutted they don't do adult sized ones though :lmao:

January's Princess is Rapunzel

I hope I manage to get them all!!! Last one is released the Saturday before we fly on Monday, so perfect timing.

Men's Suits

We collected the men's suits on Saturday, and here is Scott and his Best Man Kieran modelling them

ef0a553c.jpg

Very smart if I do say so myself! Scott also found his shoes, patent lace ups which you can just about see in this photo

Groomsmen Gifts

We also found cufflinks to give to the Best Man and Usher as their presents on the day

Sorry I think our lounge spotlighs were on too bright for these photos!)

One slight technical hitch...when they tried their suits on we realised the shirts we got in the deal (free shirt and tie with the suits) are button cuffs and not double cuffs. No real problem as they were free so we will buy double cuffed shirts for the men in a few months (After we have paid off the suits!). We need these though as we have also ordered Dad's cufflinks and I want to get some for Scotty!

Scott's Cufflinks

After spending numerous hours on Etsy I have narrowed it down to a selection of cufflinks for me to order for Scott, would you lovely ladies be able to help me decide which ones please?! He has told me he likees the style of my Dads so these will match:

I contacted the seller and he can customise the Happily Ever After ones with our wedding date, so I think they are my favourite so far, but what do you ladies think? :confused3

It was only 9 months to go on Monday...time is ticking away nicely...57 days til we leave for our plannign session trip!!!! :yay:

such cool cufflinks! My choice would be to go with "happily ever after" (since that seems to be a theme and on your wishing cards and aisle runner) and then the wedding date

Love the tags!! Soooo pretty. I agree with you, I think the "happily ever after" cuff links are the perfect ones. Really sweet and appropriate for Disney. Your dad is going to love the ones you got him, how sweet.

Our wedding is at 5:00PM I believe (gosh I should probably know this by now). It would be fun for you to pop in and see! :)

Wow, the cufflinks for your Dad are really cute! I think your dad will love them!

Im just watching the WORSE film known to man... Called the driver, Greg rented it thinking it would be good... I have to say its very much a boys film! lol and I'm not loving it!

Any excuse to browse disboards! lol

Thanks Faye, oh no I hate boy films like that, and I end up on here or Etsy! lol. xxx

I should try painting my nails instead of Etsy shopping, would save me a fortune! :rotfl2:

So me and Scott were talking about cufflinks and I have decided to order some for my stepdad too as I want to give him a gift as he does a lot for us, the Etsy seller has confirmed he will discount an order of 4 sets of cufflinks, so we have decided to have him make cufflinks for the Best Man and Usher too, 2 main reasons:

1) Everyone will then be matching in the black and white cufflinks
2) We don't really want to give the suit shop the extra money for the cufflinks we have brought when they sold us shirts with buttons instead of double cuffs! lol.

So off to get a refund tomorrow and do a new order! We are allowed to change our minds right?! lol.

Etsy ... so addictive!!! lol.

But after a morning looking at cufflinks I have just found some new ones for Scott which I think are perfect and better than the happily ever after ones:

Scottscufflinks.jpg

Then I have asked for "Best Man" and "Best Friend" for the Best Man,

"Usher" and "16.10.12" for Usher.

And "E & S" and "16.10.12" for my stepdad,

Brianscufflinks.jpg

Wait for the discounted price now and if he is able to customise them like this! xxx

Thank you :) Ahhhh good day to get married then :thumbsup2 What do you have planned to celebrate your anniversary?

Pot of Dreams!

I got us a "Pot of Dreams" yesterday to save all of our £1 and £2s for honeymoon spends, the label said it would be £1000 if full of £2s so we are hoping for at least £500 if we can fill it with a mixture of £s! This is good as we can't get the money out, we started it off with £6 last night

My Wedding Dress Box

My wedding dress box arrived on Friday, all ready for the lady in the shop to pack it after checking the acid free paper for any marks thanks to advice from another UK bride!!!

All ready for Brian to carry for his hand luggage hehe.

DCL

I have joined a FE exchange on here, and received our FE which I am really pleased with!

And also a pillowcase to get signed by the crew and characters as a nice keepsake from our Disneymoon

My "Reception" Shoes

As you know I have my pretty sparkly peep toes to wear at the ceremony, but I have always loved the coloured shoes look for a bride after seeing so many amazing photos on here...but Scott doesn't agree. So I have decided to wear my BA shoes for the ceremony, and then change into some blue shoes for the reception, and after seeing a fellow UK bride's latest creation on her FB site I knew it had to be those!

So yesterday I found some shoes which look hideous now - blue velvet! - but are perfect base for the crystals.

Here they are now

d6bed1a9.jpg

b035d264.jpg

They were a bargain at what I thought was £24, last ones were my size! When I got to the till...£12!!!

I sent these on Monday and Sophie received them yesterday so look forward to seeing how they look in the "after" photos!

She is going to use blue crystals, but then AB (irridescent?! sp!) clear crystals to add the word Mrs on the side like this:

f23fad4e.jpg

And she also suggested a hidden Mickey head on the back too...so excited for these and I know they will also be unique to me! Thanks Sophie!!!

Bridesmaid Shoes

So scouring every single shoe shop yesterday for my own, I also got looking for BM shoes, I think I have decided ivory will work best with our theme, and found these in Next, which look really high but are quite comfy with the platform:

b8ec0c9f.jpg

Here is Keeley modelling her dress with the bouquet and shoes, sorry it is dark (And we had just done a workout!)

c9403594.jpg

I think ivory shoes work well with the flowers, we were thinking of customising the heels with crystals but I think they look perfect without now!

Centre Pieces

I was inspired for our centre pieces at a Thai restaurant on Friday night by these:

e8818a15.jpg

I love the blue ... not sure what they are called ... gel balls?! haha. But I was thinking maybe more of a deeper vase, filled with water and one of our orchids floating on top, maybe a bit like this:

d6905797.jpg

But I think a single orchid? And the LED lights for when we sit outside on the patio :)

Does anyone know how you can make an "inspiration board" putting all of the photos I have saved into one file? I have loads but need to start arranging them ready for our Planning Session in March. :confused3

First DIY Project

I was inspired reading through another PJ to start making things myself, and a trip to hobbycraft yesterday for my first materials! I am going to make Tears of Joy packets as everyone keeps telling my how emotional they will be on the day! So will give everyone 2 tissues, then wrap the packet in a blue ribbon, secured with labels with our monogram on....I will ask Dad if he can do our labels tonight! I will post photos when I am finished

Wedding Breakfast

We have been thinking a lot about our wedding meal and with a few fussy eaters, we are now thinking a buffet will work better for us. This way people can choose what they want as well as how much or little, and I guess it will keep the reception more relaxed? With only 30 of us this is the atmosphere we want.

So another to do list is decide what buffet options we want to try A bonus for this is I think it will work out cheaper

We are hoping to sit outside on the patio for dinner so not sure how this works with a buffet? More research to do!

Flowers Update

Today i paid the deposit for the rest of our flowers and we have been booked in the diary for the week commencing 20th August for production to start. Excited to receive them but glad they won't be sent to us until nearer the time as the wedding wardrobe is gradually filling up...I think it will end up as the wedding room?! lol.

Just thought I would share some photos of another bride who had a similar bouquet to us made by the same company, just lighter coloured orchids:

sarah_b_1.jpg

sarah_b_2.jpg

What do you think?

The only problem now is that I am thinking maybe I should of added the orchids to the BM bouquets too aswell as mine? This will increase the price and 8 times is a lot but I think they look quite nice :S

But then with the orchids, we would have to take out the large crystals I have centreing my roses at the moment? xxx

sadly chances are nothing! dh is in the army and almost always away for our wedding anniversary. in 2009 we celebrated our tenth a few weeks early at disney. last yr we went out for dinner and spent the nite at a hotel and he pampered me by booking a mani/pedi. but with young kids it makes it a bit harder as nanny and grandpa arent always available.

love the shoe/crystal idea! i was a bit crafty with my own shoes placing string pearls around the foot opening and satin roses on the toe/heel.....it looked good till the day of! lol the pearls came off and my crinoline picked the roses badly.....but crystals look so amazing!
