Think of it as a last chance. If you do go back and get in any kind of trouble, you go to jail for trespassing. I would also be leery of staying on property or using a credit card because they could be cross-matched.

Pretty accurate. All places, including hotels like mine, have to occassionally deal with banning people and have procedures for it. One of the things us to
inform the person that they are banned and what will happen if they ate caught. You also keep a record with identifying info about them.

It would be a foolish person who ignores the ban. Trespassing is a criminal offence and can lead to jail time. But it gets worse. It is always be on the person's criminal record which will be seen by any employer, government agency, credit agency or any entity that does background checks. These days many if not most do this. A person can really mess up their life if the ignore the ban.

And if you've done something serious enough to get a ban it's pretty much guaranteed you will be charged with trespassing if caught returning.

On my best friend's senior trip, a boy we both went to middle school with was drinking in his room. He called the front desk and said he was going to come down there and do something highly inappropriate to the girl who answered the phone, and then he was going to do it to Mickey mouse too. The cast member called security and he was sent home from the trip with a chaperone at his parent's expense, as well as banned for life.

1)When my husbands high school attended Grad Nite, several of his classmates thought it would be hilarious to push Mickey into a fountain. The poor girl inside *flipped* and began screaming since the wet head (partially filled with water) was now too heavy for her to get up.

The school was banned for 5 years, the boys involved were banned for life. Hubby was not involved, but the entire school got a hefty lecture on it.


2) Some some people which probably got evicted but don't know for sure. DH and I were watching the afternoon parade because we were friends with Tigger. A couple nest to us sent their 3 yr old into the middle of the parade to go hug Tigger. They were upset no characters had shaken her hand, or signed a book during the parade. We were sitting next to them and heard Mom say "Go on honey, just go hug Tigger. He will have to stop." Yeah.... well Tigger didn't see the kid and ended up kicked her in the head during a skip. Kid got knocked in front of the float, Tigger tore the ACL tendon in the left knee but dove and rolled the kid away from the float. Security showed up out of NO WHERE. Parents were angry, and a heroic Tigger limped the rest of the route. Not sure what happned to them, but the parents and screaming toddler were quickly ushered back stage.



3.) On a side note, my brother and my father have been banned for life from Hertz Rent-a-Car. My brother framed the letter which basically states they spit on him, his children, and his childrens-children. Although I am not officially banned, Hertz pretty much said our whole family can't get a rental from them.

This came about after my brother was in a serious car acccident in a rental car. He had the rental insurance, and it wasn't his fault either. But he ended up spinning out on a major highway after being clipped by another car. The car hit the center divide and was sheared in half. Pedals in one half, drivers seat in the other. Car was totalled. He thankfully made it out without a scratch.... just some nifty pictures. Hertz was miffed, He got his banned letter 2 weeks after.

About 4 months later my father had rented a car from them (same name as my Bro) and someone hit the bumper in a parking lot and ran. A minor dent, and again we had the rental insurance. Hertz saw the name similarity and banned my father and the whole family after that. I haven't had the nerve to try renting from them.... maybe we're cursed?

And how do they keep you out if you're banned for life? Facial recognition software like in the casinos?

thats too funny...i think disney has too many other things to worry about than pay people $$$ to sit at a monitor and look at faces

Oh I might as well add that Disney is def not afraid to ban entire schools like PP said.

I know my school is not allowed to stay onsite because of kids drinking a few years ago. I didn't actually go WITH my school on senior trip (because I know my dis and they were WAY over charging the trip and doing it all wrong!!) so I still got to go to Pop.

Last year my husband went for fast passes on Splash Mountain at rope drop while DD and I went to Peter Pan to ride. Apparently, there was a large group heading that way and a man next to DH got very angry that my husband walked faster, so he stabbed him in the arm with a pin. A Cast Member witnessed the event, made a quick call and the Disney Police escorted the stabbing man out of the park. DH was stunned, and also upset that this man's small son witnessed this behavior and then had to leave too. Not a very magical morning.

Based on the discussion from another thread, it appears that WDW does very little to control unruly guests. I'm curious to know if anyone has

1.) Seen someone be ejected from a WDW park (if so do you know why).
2.) Caused someone to be ejected from a WDW park and why.
3.) Been ejected from a WDW park (if you're willing to admit it and why).

No, No, and No. But I watched some Youtube videos of some "interesting" chases/interactions by "characters" and kids....like a child that kicked Goofy and one where Goofy seems to punch a boy so I guess bad behavior abounds..........

I could see if you stayed on-site because they have your name on the reservations, and they might have tagged your name as being banned from Disney property. But if you stayed off-site, you could just walk up to any of the ticket booths at any of the parks, pay cash and buy a ticket, and enter the park. Unless they have your mug shot posted in various places throughout the park, I doubt anyone would know just by looking at you, that you had been banned.

I'm not planning on getting banned, just something I was wondering about.

We stayed at ASMO back in 11/08 and an episode of Cops unfolded right in front of us! We were settling into our room one night and my husband says "hey there are real cops out there looking for some guy". This is right after my 15 yr old convinces me that she is big enough to walk to the food court to refill her mug We have no idea why they are looking for this guy, (I know we are in WDW but you just never know) so I go to the food court and catch up with my daughter. We walk back to our building and as the elevator door closes and goes up a floor (we were on 3rd floor) we hear holy heck break loose and we have no idea what we are gonna find when the elevator door opens up. So the door opens up and the commotion is coming from a level below us on the section of the building across from us. Two Orlando police had guns drawn and had a guy on the ground outside of his room, yelling and screaming and dropping curse words . Of course Disney CM's are telling everyone to please go back to their rooms. They end up handcuffing the guy and taking him out front. We could hear the cops talking to him and apparently when he drove to the guard shack upon returning for the night he made some sort of joke to the attendant who thought he was serious. The attendant took his plate number and they tracked down what room he was in and Disney felt it was a potential problem so they called Orlando police. They didn't arrest the guy but ended up making him and his family leave Disney property altogether. I felt bad for his wife and kids who I am sure were freaked out as well.

Someone mentioned that a person was banned for life from WDW.

I'm wondering how that works. I could see them being banned from a resort, because when you stay at a resort you have to give them your name. But how do they keep a specific person out of the parks. Anyone can purchase tickets at the ticket booths located at any of the parks, without giving their name or showing identification, or anything. So how would WDW actually be able to keep someone out of a park?

It might not prevent you from entering, but it probably a legal situation. Where you have been banned, next time you are cought there the charges are increased. Trespassing

I think I may be able to say I am the first diser to say I was escorted out of the Magic Kingdom!

My husband, mother, and 11 month old went to WDW in 1997. My husband, who worked at the Disney Store at the time, had left his ID at home. We didn't think there was anything that could be done but he called guest services just in case. They transferred him to the department who issues the cm id's and they told him to come to the office and they would issue him a temp ID. We were shocked, but very happy.

After a morning at the MK, my mom and daughter went back to the resort and we went off in search of the ID dept. We went down the utilidors and found the cm busses. We took the bus to the department that issues the id's and waited our turn. Unfortunately they looked at us like we were idiots and said there was nothing they could do for us. We felt pretty stupid and went outside to wait for the bus back to the park. We had been waiting awhile and no bus was coming so we decided to walk. (If I remember correctly you could see the utilidor bus stop almost from where we were - it was not a long walk.)

We were about half way there when a security guard came running out of his booth. He asked what we were doing and told us we couldn't walk on those roads. He called for a security van to take us back to the park. When the van arrived we were talking with the guard and mentioned that we were leaving the park for the afternoon. Instead he dropped us off at the bus depot for the resorts.

Later that night we were entering EPCOT. This was during the time when you had to have your hand stamped when you exitted a park. As I put my ticket in I realized that I had never had my hand stamped since I didn't technically exit the MK. My husband started to explain to the attendant that we had been escorted out of MK by security and the attendant stopped him and said, "I don't want to hear your problems, Come in!"

Telling people how we were escorted out of the MK is one of our favorite Disney stories.

There was video of it or something- Apparently the son was trying to feel for Tigger's zipper on his back (that we all know isn't there ) And Tigger tried to get the kids hand away and ended up shoving him away. The family flipped out. Here's the video from youtube:

I wasn't hanging out with that particular group so I don't know when it was on the ride and I don't know all of the details. I know he was escorted to a backstage area (Disney jail, maybe?) and a chaperone was called. He and the chaperone had to go sit on the bus until it was time to leave.

A couple of years ago my then-boyfriend was not allowed to enter DHS because of his t-shirt. It was a Chicago Cubs shirt and the player's name on the back was ***udome. Security approached him and he really thought they were kidding. It hadn't even crossed our minds that it could ever be considered inappropriate. Luckily our suitcases were still in the car so he went back to change. While he went back to the car one of the security guards said we should be Yankees fans because they have "normal names".

We were at WDW during Easter week one year. We were waiting in front of the Emporium for the Easter Parade. Across Main Street, there was a 3 or 4 year old pulling/playing on the rope to mark the parade. An older man and his companion were being constantly hit by this rope on their heads. I could tell the man was going to blow. It looked like he asked the kid to stop but it made her pull harder. The parents weren't paying attention until this man got up and grabbed the little girl's hand off the rope. The Dad threw a punch at this guy and before he could connect, Disney security was on top of them. Both parties were escorted out and didn't come back. Don't know what the outcome between the 2 parties was. I just couldn't believe something like this would happen or that security showed up so fast!

This may not have been at WDW, but my mother had to stick around and file a police report at the start of the blizzard last year, when a miserly middle-aged woman decided to punch a pregnant mother with two small children in tow in the jaw (broke a tooth) over the last carton of milk. . . at a Giant, in a lovely, nearly crime-free suburb of good ol' Northern VA. Just saying. . . desperation does a lot to a person's sense of good manners--it turns them into vicious idiots!

Wow. While I don't necessarily agree with a parent not paying attention to their child (and making corrective actions), I can also understand a father's desire to protect their child. You just don't know in this day and age what someone's intentions are toward your child.
