Ejected from the park!

At Disneyland one time we passed an Asian guy who was dressed up as an Asian school girl (white button shirt, short mini-skirt, and long socks). Yes, he/she was in drag. Don't know how he/she got in the park to begin with, but it was so obvious. About 30 feet behind and walking quickly to catch up were about 3 security guards who I can only guess were going to escort he/she out.

im talking kid kids,,,say 2-10 age? hey some kids can be a royal PITA and cause a major distubance and downright tantrum screaming and kicking (a CM for instance or higher-up)
The last time we were there, DS (then 4?) had a couple tantrum episodes. At one point we were walking from Tomorrowland toward Main St and he decided to have a crying fit. We set him down on the ground on the walkway, went to a bench (~20' away, well within range) and let him cry. I even took a picture of him bawling his eyes out with the castle in the background.:rotfl:

Had some guests and CMs walk by, look around and saw us waiting, then kept walking.

I haven't seen it happen, but as I understand it from my sister, if a member of a school group/organization of whatever type (sports team, cheerleaders, band, etc.) is caught shoplifting, that school/organization is banned from sending groups to Disney again.

Yep, the Shoplifting Senior Trip will prevent every other group from that school from being able to visit the Mouse. Don't ask how I know, thankfully my kids weren't involved or shut out.

Well it's been a loooong time, but in 1990 we went with our high school band. Our director told us to not do anything stupid as "Disney has eyes everywhere and they WILL catch you." But of course the kid who was always the one causing problems decided to be a wiseguy and prove him wrong. He was caught shoplifting some stupid trinket and was shipped home that same day. Neither our band nor our school was ejected or banned from future trips.

Seriously doubt this is true. On our Senior Trip three of my class mates, one of which I was very good friends with, were caught by Disney security drinking alcohol in their room. Chaperones were called in, whole group was checked for additional illegal activity, and the three were flown home the following morning at their parents expense.

There was no interference with the rest of the group's trip, and my sister went on the same trip the following year. My other sister went two years after that, and my brother 3 years after that.

If Disney isn't banning a school for underage drinking in an onsite hotel, I can't see them banning a whole group for one or two shoplifting. Sounds like one of those "my sister's friend's cousin's neigbor" urban legends.

In Dec 2007, I believe, some of the Pop Warner kids got into a fight in MK and were throwing strollers and the whole group was sent home right then and there and this was at night. So, it can be done. I believe the teams weren't allowed to participate at Pop Warner at Disney again.

I'm guessing it could be a combination of the seriousness of the infraction, as well as the experience Disney has with dealing with the school/group in resolving the situation.

Think of it this way.... You have 30 people out of 40 causing a problem, Obviously there are some issues with the group organizer's ability to screen and control the group, so maybe you don't want them sending people again.

2 kids out of 40 caught shoplifting? Not as obvious a case of Organizer's not having control, since you can't watch over everyone and sometimes stupid kids will be stupid kids.

Now.... If the group chaperones/organizers are made aware of the situation, and agree it's a serious problem and show they are going thru the steps to punish the offenders and prevent it from happening again, Why prevent them from spending money on a trip back to the park again? The organizer's obviously doing what they can and understands the seriousness.

If however Disney approaches the Chaperones/organizers and get blown off with a "so?", and get no help or cooperation with the group, It becomes obvious that they don't really care, aren't keeping an eye on what their kids are doing, and can't be trusted to take actions to make sure future groups don't cause problems. Do you really want them sending groups in the future and causing even more havoc?

So it's probably another case of a decision that's made case by case depending on the unique circumstances and situation. Is a group that had someone try shoplifting a $5 trinket going to get banned from ever sending people back for a several thousand $$ trip... probably not. Is a group who caused $10,000 in damage to Disney property going to be banned from sending people back on a future trip.... much more likely. (But again.... if the school has been sending people for 10+ years and this is the first problem, they might be allowed back because of their track record.)

Had he dropped something? Wondering why security was chasing him?

I know they have rules against adults being in costume, so they probably class it as that :/

It's a silly rule really - if people want to dress up what harm are they doing really? :confused3

I agree.. as long as its G-Rated, and not a Disney character (they don't want to confuse children and such) I don't see the problem in dressing up.

Though my fiance said if women want to dress up as Jessica Rabbit he won't complain and welcomes you.. ei yi yi :lmao::rotfl:

This happened while we were at ASMu also Nov/Dec 2007. The Pop Warner kids and some coaches got into a fight at the food court. I am not sure on the outcome.

This week I witnessed horrible behavior by the coaches and teens. I never witnessed anything being done by security even though I know they were informed several times.

I have only seen one family being removed. It was actually sad. It looked like the Dad was the one being escorted out but he was followed by all of his kids, some of whom were crying.

Ahaha :rotfl2: red glitter dress and purple heels it is then!
Congratulations on the engagement :earboy2:

One night we were leaving Epcot, & in line for the bus. When a bus arrived the bus driver was loading wheel chairs. This man jumps out of line & starts yelling at the bus driver for not allowing people on the bus. All of sudden a security van pulls up & takes the guy away. It happened so quickly. His family just stood there with their jaws dropped. The guy was such an idiot. It was like watching a cop show.

Gotta' say... this is actually a little scary!! What if all of these people have just been kidnapped while everyone sat by thinking it was Disney's magical security force??? :scared1: ;)

I've only seen a few drunk people roaming around world showcase. They didn't get picked up or anything but still...

But no... I haven't seen anyone get kicked out of the park

Oh how I love the way you put that.

I know they have rules against adults being in costume, so they probably class it as that :/

But a woman would be allowed to wear a shirt, a skirt, and long socks. That's not a *costume*.

At Disneyland, there are women (and men) who dress interestingly all the time. So they aren't opposed to people wearing interesting things.

This guy must have done something else, along with wearing a skirt (since shirt and socks aren't "female" per se). Though i've also seen a guy or two wearing a Utilikilt at DLR, so even "skirts" aren't forbidden for them either. Carrying the 6 pack of beer in the pockets of a Utilikilt, as they have advertised in the past, wouldn't be allowed, but just wearing it is fine. (and FYI Utilikilts have a handy little snap in the center so that you can keep it from flying up, or get onto a ride more modestly)

The guy had to have been doing something else.

Or the security guards were simply interested in following him for other reasons. :)
