If your question is not ABD specific, then my answer is YES!

Egypt was the first trip that my parents booked when we moved to Saudi Arabia when I was 12-years old. We spent two weeks there, and the epxeriences and sights are amongst those that I will never forget, even *all* of these years later (suffice to say - it's a few decades!) I am trying to convince my DH that it would be worthwhile to take our kids there at least before DD heads off to college in several years. I want to refamiliarize myself with what I saw as a near-teen, and I think the kids would just love it.
