Thank you so much for the helpful responses below! I think I will scoot around in a scooter! (and rent one myself). My only concern is, is it easy to maneuver on a bus? I live in a major urban area, and the people in scooters and wheelchairs on the buses are so good at getting turned around, etc. in such a small space. I am worried I will not be able to do that! (let's just say that my parallel parking skills, or the lack thereof, would tend to indicate that this could be a problem for me).

What a wonderful board, I only wish I found it sooner.

It will only take a couple of times to get comfortable with the ECV loading. I found the drivers very helpful. They will tell you when to turn the front wheel. They can't do it for you but know al the ins and outs! Good luck and enjoy.
