Hi We booked this cruise about a week ago and are very excited. Dec 9 is our 40th Anniversary and this is our present to each other. I have read alot of the posts and will continue to read. This is our first Disney cruise. The only other time we have been on a ship is the QM2 from New York to South Hampton. We loved it. I am really excited to be on a Disney Cruise. I will try and read about more of the traditions for a Disney Cruise but want to be sure to do the ornament exchange.

Congratulations on your Anniversary, and WELCOME ABOARD! What a terrific first Disney Cruise. We have friends who also sailed with Cunard and then Disney. You'll apparently find some differences and, according to them, Disney WINS in the service category.

Actually, it's all iron-on. I don't sew either. I bought the Mickey iron on from Amazon along with paper, downloaded the font, and pressed. I also used some iron on paper for dds summer camp labeling.

I was researching Costa Maya excursions and just kept going back to the DCL site, out of curiosity. I went to bed shortly after my last posting and still woke up this morning at 5:45! I am so NOT a morning person, but this is the second day in a row...ugh.

I find these frequent rate changes entertaining....ONLY because I've already booked...otherwise, I would be very frustrated .

Our 40th anniversary is Dec. 30, and this is also our gift to each other. In today's world, it seems like fewer and fewer couples make it this far, so we might as well celebrate!

This will be my 14th Disney cruise, and Jim's 13th. We've only cruised on Disney. We keep saying we're going to try another line for new itineraries, but Disney keeps offering us itineraries we haven't tried!

Congrats skayrobe and Beth on your 40th! I'm in the midst of planning for my parent's 60th anniversary party which will occur in a few weeks. I feel blessed to be able to celebrate this wonderful milestone in their lives, and I'm glad you are celebrating yours with the EBPC cruise.

It might actually be you that's making them appear and disappear. When I contacted Kelsey about booking the IGT a couple of weeks ago, she said they'd disappeared too.... then she called me back when they reappeared. According to what she said, when people bring up the rate, they are effectively blocking one availability on it.... since that person may book the rate, the DCL website considers that inventory gone as soon as it's clicked on. Then it releases about 30 minutes later or so (when you get the little pop-up that says "Your session has timed out").

If that's the case, there may be very few of the IGT still available. But who knows... they may have 5 available now and then decide to release another 10 later if booking doesn't pick up any.

I wonder how many IGT's they've actually sold? I really thought about rebooking on board last week and getting an IGT, it would have saved a lot of money, but I really didn't want to be all the way forward on Deck 2 again, and with my luck that's where I'd end up. I tend to get a bit seasick there! I'm in an 11B, so unless I get an unexpected upgrade, I'll be on Deck 6 in one of my favorite rooms in one of my favorite locations!

If we book this cruise, we will rent a car and drive to Orlando. We will keep you posted...

This is what we are doing. We are renting a car in Miami then driving up to fly out of Orlando very early in the 24th!

We booked this cruise about a month ago but were hesitant to join in the festivities until we felt that we were definitely in! We booked airfare this past weekend, so I think we can say it's official!
I'm sailing with my husband, son, daughter and mother. We'd also like to sign up for the certificate, FE exchange and any other fun activities. This is a chatty bunch, so I hope I can keep up

BTW - does anyone need me to check on anything while I'm on the Wonder? We leave for Seattle 6/29 and will be on the cruise 7/2-7/9.

Will you please check and see if anything can be attached to the ceiling. We would like to decorate our cabin a little with Christmas decor and it would be nice to be able to tack things up. Thanks.

Gosh, I wish I had the power to control the inventory but I don't think that's it. I'm not actually clicking on that category; when the listing of categories comes up, it's just the general list. I don't think it would reserve a cabin for that half-hour time frame unless you went a step further. I also close out of the website every time, so I've never seen the "timed out" message.

My feeling is they are weighing the options for OGTs now...they've probably already sold enough insides, but with DCL, who knows? Predicting has made fools of us all , at one time or another!

I think there are a lot of 4&5 yo boys this cruise. My son, Billy will have just turned 5 the week prior to the cruise, and he will love playing with JP.

Last year Nina didnt want to play in de club alone because she couldnt understand what they were saying!!!

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

It's been HOT hot HOT, here! Still 82 at 5 am. that NEVAh happens.

Yesterday I spent the day in the basement inventorying my trains - we've finally decided to sell them and I have two leads on potential buyers. Somehow though, I've lost one - brought it up stairs to see if it would fit in my shadow box and it has disappeared.

Great to hear there are going to be plenty of similar-aged kids that we can all "meet" prior to sailing! JP did not want to go in the club alone because he didn't know anyone so maybe this time will be better. We used to go in the club with him prior when they used to allow it (this will be our 4th cruise)... It will be fun for all the kids if they have a little group they know!

Is there, was there someone with the name of Spiffy on board with us? I can't find any PM's or posts by them, and I have them down as coming to the Palo brunch (because their name was included in the PM I sent a few months back), but I have no previous PMs either to of from them. Sent a PM yesterday and hasn't been read, and when I looked at their stats that have zero posts, etc. Searching for them on the board brings up nothing.

So if you're out there, or if anyone knows who they are, please let me know. I need your information ASAP.
