Any idea when they'll list the Port Adventures available for our cruise? I know there are excursions listed for Puerto Vallarta on the MR cruise, but the port time in PV is much shorter on the EBPC than it is on the MR cruise, so I'm wondering how that will affect our choices.

Good Morning, Happy Cruisers!

I found my old 'mickey mouse' Christmas stocking over the weekend, while preparing for the yardsale. We haven't hung stockings in years, but all the talk about Christmas on this thread got me to thinking . . . Since I won't have an FE this year, I think I'll hang it on my fish, instead, just for decor. And then, at the end of the cruise, stuff it with *something* to give to my stateroom host(ess).

Does anyone have any ideas for *something* , besides candy and a phone card? I'm feeling like I'd like to "treat" the hard working cast members this trip, rather than filling FE's.

Off to the gym and then home to work on the basement - oh, and we have an appointment with the estate sale agent for the folks next door at 11 today.

Happy Day, all!

No idea, but I hope it is soon - I'm anxious to see what our options will be :moped:

I love this idea! We're not doing the FE either because I just don't want to have to pack all those things. I've done it before and it's lots of fun, just not for this trip. A treat for the poor, hardworking person who will have to tidy up my room might be in order! Of course, that treat may take the form of extra cash in an amount that I might have spent on a few FE gifts. I thought about a gift card to a store, but that might not work for a particular person. But cash is always the right size and color. Maybe in a cute card with a nice thank you note! Most CM's live in tiny quarters and can't use a lot of extra "stuff", but they always need something for themselves.

I, too, love this idea. A little extra cash in the stocking for some hard working folks is a good thing!

Ditto! Want the Paradise Beach one, but it looks too long...

BTW - does anyone need me to check on anything while I'm on the Wonder? We leave for Seattle 6/29 and will be on the cruise 7/2-7/9.

Connie, could you keep your ears open and see if you can get an inkling of what the cms would *like* to find in their christmas stockings besides the inevitable cash, candy & phone cards? :goodvibes

Thanks to So Cal Crew for the good explination. Since I suggested it I guess I can organize it. Best poker hand is fun and we can end at the bar if that is what the group wants. Just need people to let me know via PM or here with Category & Cabin Number if they are interested in showing their cabin. Will look for responses here if people want to do it a different way.

Hopefully there will be one from each category and deck. We have an inside handicap cabin. Even though it is an inside cabin people do ask about handicap cabins so I will start the list with it.

SCHEPP – 11A – 7631

For all of you that really like to go all out on your door decorations how about a door decoration contest since it will be the Christmas season (Silliest Door / Best DCL Door / Best Xmas Door).

What does everyone think?

Excellent! I don't know what our cabin will be but if it fits in the mix we'll be happy to volunteer ours. Do you have an idea on what day you'd like to do the stateroom crawl?

On the door decorations, we typically change our door up during the cruise. We do decor tied to our port of call or, if it's a sea day, we put up something more generic.

We would love to know if our previous server and/or head server is still on the Wonder. Our server was Terry Couch and our head server was Witt Tuncharoen (I am so glad I saved the receipts for our tips!...never would have remembered their last name.) Or even our asst. server who was Maggie MacAskill. It would be great to know one way or the other if they are still there or have moved on. Thanks!

Susan and I will be traveling alone on this cruise and rather than be seated with strangers we'd rather dine with fellow DISers from our cruise thread. If you are interested in doing this you can send me a PM with your full name and reservation number so we can link our reservations. We are currently on early seating. :grouphug:

All the US ones I've looked at today have all Dec 2012 and some into Jan 2013.

I was looking for prices for MIA to MCO but as I've never bought an internal US flight before, I don't know what is considered a "good" price. :confused3

If we book this cruise, we will rent a car and drive to Orlando. We will keep you posted...:cool1:

Hmmm, it is on the DCL website now.

The IGT and 11C are both gone. It is interesting how various categories disappear and reappear even on the same day.

I wanted to do these before I lost all the pieces. Here's dD's:

Really cute!

I am definitely not a seamstress but have a creative eye...great with glue! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: DD, however, is wonderful at costume design and construction and made our FEs and some of our gifts last year. Her talent skipped a generation (from my mother). I did make an apron in 8th-grade once ;)...now I don't even like to hem a pair of slacks. I think I'll ask her to embroider pillowcases, or maybe a tote bag for signatures this time.

Is anyone taking something unusual to be signed by the characters? (besides pillowcases, picture mats, totes...)
