I agree, I love the website. Keeps things all in one place. How do I get on the roll call? Relaxin' - Patti and Rick, Waterloo Ontario.

JEFF...the website is fantastic, esp. for something you just threw together. I had to laugh at how many people named "Me" there are in the Roll Call :lmao:.

My family just booked one of the IGT rates for this cruise. It will be our first time without a window, but the deal was too good to pass up.

Excited would be an understatement. A PC cruise has been a bucket list item for a while and we are looking forward to visiting Cartagena. As an added bonus - my daughter will turn 9 while we are on the cruise. Hopefully she won't expect a Disney Cruise for every birthday.

Joining you will be

Dave (MrMom)
Marie - DW
Regan - DD, 8
Mason - DS, 5

Looks like I've got some reading to do. This thread has been busy!

For roll call you can replace, under Chinook, Me and DH with Julie and Mark. Thanks again for such an awesome site!

Jeff-
You can replace Me with Shelly and DH with Shawn. It is funny how many me's are going on the cruise ;)
Thanks!

Jeff -
You can replace me and DH with Cathy and Robert (also happily know as Summer and Autumn's parents)
Thanks for the site. My girls and I love it!

I'm so exited!
Our flights AMS - LAX on dec. 7 and MIA - AMS on dec. 23 are booked!!!
This week we're booking the cruise!
So it is official we're on!!!!
Our roll call is:
Me -> Manon (30)
DH-> Paul (35)
DD -> Nina (4)
We're gonna book an IGT room, last year on the WBTA we had an inside stateroom aswel and we liked it very much.
The only time we spend time in our room was to sleep, and when we sleep we love the darkness. And the joy to wake up with the voice of Mickey who will wake you is priceless.

So I'll be checking in soon again!

Hi all

I have just taken the plunge and cancelled our August WDW trip ;) And hoping that the prices haven't gone up so we can join you on this cruise :scared1::scared1::scared1:

Otherwise we'll be staying in Europe

So, I am Mel (40:sick:) lol Paris 17, Chanelle 16 and Ethan 11.

Our first ever cruise was the WBTA last year so this will (hopefully) be our second. :woohoo: Anyone from that cruise on this one? popcorn::

Please add us to the roll call while I hunt around for our FE pirate:

mEL X

Jeff, could you possibly add my teddybear Dimples to the roll call with me? (and my real name, oddly enough, is Linda)

hi, we have just booked this cruise today, we where also on the wbta last year, we are myself sue and partner john, susie

Jeff-
Do you mind updating the roll call onthe website to reflect:
Emily and Michael
Wilmington, DE

Corinne, Luke (9) and Lucie (6)
Mountaintop, PA

Thanks alot!

I have updated the roll call based on the requests and additions above.

True, there are a lot of "me's", but that's only when the poster/Disboard-member did not provide their name.

Jeff, if you would prefer to take over the roll call, I will bow out and discontinue updating Page 6 rather than have 2 lists going at the same time. The list on Page 6 is up to date as of this post.

Are you folks interested in doing one? I planned one for our Med cruise back in 2010 and we all had fun doing it. For those that have cruised Disney many times perhaps you've seen all the different room categories but I can also say that it's a nice way to get to meet up with fellow cruisers too. Of course we did the crawl *after* a DIS group wine tasting so that might have loosened folks up a bit too. party:

No please, please keep it going! I am not able to check in that frequently and I'm afraid I'd miss an update. I'd much rather that you continue to do it if you would and then all I would have to do is copy your list in. :flower3:

Hi Mel (and the other WBTA Dissers)...it seems there will be several of us repeat 14-day'ers. Maybe this trip I'll get to know people better ;)

It seems they disappear and reappear . We have friends who want to book too, but they can't do it until next month. Hoping it will be during a "reappear" times. :) Too good of a deal to pass up!
DCL likes to play with us, don't they? We booked the IGT rate but wanted one of our cabins at the regular 11C GTY rate. Too bad...we were told they were "sold out"....only to have the 11C pop back up again the next day (after we booked). :confused3 I took that as the universe's way of telling me we really wanted to book the IGTs ;).

Ok, I will try to PM you every time I update the roll call, so you know to copy & paste the latest list into the web site.

Reminder to all...

If you need anything changed or updated in the roll call, please let me know either by post or PM. A lot of the information I pulled together from reading the posts. It's a lot to weed through, so if I missed something, or not all of your information is there, please let me know.

Since I received a PM about the 2 versions of the PC Certificates, I wanted to address the following...

There are 2 versions of the PC Certificate -- traditional and revised (Tiffany Publishing Company). The only difference is the mermaids, and their level of "dress" (the revised being more "conservative").

Since this is a family-friendly Disney cruise, I would assume everyone would be ok with going with the "revised" version. ;)

For the newbies, such as myself and fam, here's a post I put on the main forum:

Less $ spent on costumes = more $ for drinks! :cool1:

So excited to sail...174 days, that I didn't want to wait until halloween time, and be rushing at the last moment, so I went to the buycostumes website. I'm not sure how long this deal is on, but if you use the code SUPER50 on all clearance and blowout items, you get an extra 50% off. For our family, I paid under $100 for all pirate:costumes and a few accessories. Another thing I can cross off my list.:mickeyjum:mickeyjum:mickeyjum

Revised sounds great! Thanks!

Starting with the English lessons with DD, so she can talk and understand a little of the language when onboard!
So far she knows, hello how are you, im fine thank you, please, yes, no, counting 1/10, and her face and some parts of the body!
Now we're about to make her talk in sentences and drinks and food things!!! But we have loads of time... She was questioning about why she had to learn, but we didnt tell her yet... She is getting this cruise as a present for St. Nicolas (dutch holiday) on 12/05

Oh how FUN! Does she put out her shoes? Does Nicolas actually come to your house while she's awake? When we lived in Germany, he would come to the house with Schwartz Pieter with his chains and big book in which all the children's transgressions were written. Of course he would also bring goodies.

Jeff, someone did mention a stateroom tour, but I forget said they'd organize it. (Old lady's memory is sporadic:confused3) I DO know it wasn't me.

Happy Day, all!

Yes she puts her shoe out 2 to 3 times a week, sometimes a small present most times a little bit of candy (pepernoten)(It's about 3 weeks out of 12-05. so she gets alot of things)
Nicolas doesn't come to our house, but she sees him a couple of times in public. And zwarte Piet (Schwartz Pieter) are there with many of them. A male friend and his girlfriend play zwarte piet also so she gets extra attention!
She doesn't recognise them so that's so funny when they call out to her!!! She always looks like ***, why do they know me!!!
At our hometown they also have a musical every year that we go and see and it's great fun! And after there is some private time with Nicolas.
Getting Nicolas into our home costs alot of money about $100,- for an hour...
So our neighbours knock on the windows and leave the presents @ the front door...
It's so much fun!!!!

revised is good for us too. Thanks for addressing this with all.

Either certificate is fine with us. We're an "adult only" household now, but it really doesn't make a difference to us. Whichever one the group decides on will look marvelous framed in our "vacation picture" gallery.

Adults only here, but I actually prefer the revised version (not a prude, just like the art better). Thanks for asking us all.

Great that you're teaching her a second language, for any reason :thumbsup2.

Just like the FE gifts! She'll be thrilled (as we all will be :woohoo:). For her, it will be an extended holiday...lucky girl!

Wow - that's a lot of frequent flyer miles for a little girl!!

Thanks for the tip. I bought one last night and it looks like it'll arrive in time for my Alaska cruise in 2 weeks. I heard the Pirate night is tone down for the Alaska cruises but at least I'll get more use out of it!

BTW - does anyone need me to check on anything while I'm on the Wonder? We leave for Seattle 6/29 and will be on the cruise 7/2-7/9.

Awesome! pirate: I see they shipped ours yesterday - same day we ordered. Shipped from where, I don't know?? Gotta love internet shopping.

Since we have several first time cruiser and many sea days has anyone thought about organizing a cabin crawl?

We did it last December on the Wonder and most people enjoyed it.

A Cabin Crawl is when you get 1 cabin from each category so people can check out the different staterooms. (Maybe 5 - 8 different cabins) Some people offer drinks or snacks in some of the rooms that are a little larger or have verandahs. popcorn:: (Not a must) Sometimes you can do a poker game where you get a card from each cabin and then at the end, the person with the best hand wins a small prize. You can end at the largest stateroom or at a bar. :drinking1 Like anything, they can be a ton of fun or just ok. If you haven't seen the different staterooms, it's nice to see what's out there.

Thanks to So Cal Crew for the good explination. Since I suggested it I guess I can organize it. Best poker hand is fun and we can end at the bar if that is what the group wants. Just need people to let me know via PM or here with Category & Cabin Number if they are interested in showing their cabin. Will look for responses here if people want to do it a different way.

Hopefully there will be one from each category and deck. We have an inside handicap cabin. Even though it is an inside cabin people do ask about handicap cabins so I will start the list with it.

SCHEPP – 11A – 7631

For all of you that really like to go all out on your door decorations how about a door decoration contest since it will be the Christmas season (Silliest Door / Best DCL Door / Best Xmas Door).

What does everyone think?

On the Hawaii, there were two women on Deck 6 who changed their door about Every 3 days - themed toward where we were at the time - I have never seen such amazing door decor - but it must have taken them HOURS. I love looking at doors - one reason to do FE, right? -- and taking photos of them!

On our MR cruise last year the girls changed our door every day. They would take the one from the day before and put it on a neighbor's door. We had a lot of magnets and they were pretty heavy but since we didn't have to fly (we live about 25 minutes South of the Port of LA) it wasn't an issue. Not sure what we'll do this time. The girls really want a Christmas tree for the door. Maybe we can start with the tree and then add an ornament each day for a few days. We'll see what we can come up with.
