perishables on E-Bay. I make Cape Cod Shortbread cookie baskets, (lighthouses, beach scenes etc.. and everyone keeps telling me to sell them they can't get enough etc.
So I thought I might try to sell some but don't know if thats allowed.
Thanks,
Lynn

I know it's okay to sell manufactured pre-packaged food, DH and I sometimes sell Girl Scout Cookies out of season. But I'm not sure about homemade goods, since that could be a health and sanitation thing.

:wave2: Hi Fellow Cape Codder!! I did a search for Homemade Cookies on Ebay and there were plenty listed. I'm sure if you put them in a "cookie tin" or "cookie box" they should shipped okay.
But like Chicago526 said, I'd be careful with F&B laws etc.

Good luck...if you deciede to sell them on Ebay...go on over to the Budget board And see "What's Everyone Selling On Ebay" and list your items there...at least us Disers may want to buy em'! :goodvibes

Go to ebay, help topics, selling, is my item allowed, questionable, food

It will tell you that in order to be sold on ebay, food items must comply with federal regulations. That's a whole other round of research! Basically, you have to have it packaged and labelled with correct nutrition information. Also technically supposed to have food preparation permit/license. It's a huge headache. If you want to sell your cookies, to avoid trouble, I'd just sell them locally by word of mouth.

I don't think you are supposed to sell Girl Scout cookies on the internet. I had a GS cookie flag for sale and that got cancelled, why I don't know.
