Earthquake

Felt it in trumbull Ct, was siting in a chair and floor gave a sensation that it was about to give way.

Dear East Coasters,
You'll be fine. It's no biggie. A 5.9 barely registers out here!!!!
Welcome to a taste of California. :lmao:
Love,
Barrie :hippie:

We had some things fall off shelves and a couple new cracks in the garage. Earthquake minor, the traffic on the beltway tonight = major.

Hopefully nobody was hurt.

I'm sure the West Coast vets are quite used to this but for someone who has NEVER experienced anything close to this with a 4 and 3 year old holding on to you tight while an entire building is shaking and things are falling off the walls, glass rattling, and that loud rumble that kept getting louder made for a very frightening experience.

I'm glad there has been little to no damage and that everyone is safe. I can tell you one thing, my desire to move to California is now kaput! I know that I couldn't handle it.

Breaking news: Washington D. C. has just revealed what every body thought was an Earthquake was really the economy hitting rock bottom.:lmao:

Reston VA here--I was driving and missed it but as I pulled into Target everyone was pouring out and we were asked to stay outside for a while.

Is THAT what that was? I thought it was just the debt ceilling collapsing!

Felt here in Rhode Island too!

I am in Charlottesville, Virginia (we are fairly close to the epicenter)
We have a construction site right next door with huge cranes and we all thought that they hit the building at first.
We figured it out when the rumbling continued!

Felt it here in upstate New York... Not terrible, but enough to rock our building a bit....

I just checked the DD (11 years old) room. It looks like the earth quake was centered there. All the clothing is out of the drawers and on the floor, purses, accessories, toys, books, brushes are strewn all over the floor.

Yes- the earthquake caused the mess- that is her story and she is sticking to it:laughing:

Holy Catfish, what a feeling....like everything was OUT of your control!!! But all is good, with no damage...but 20 seconds of a feeling that we won't forget

Robin & Angel "D" :thumbsup2

Central NJ...second floor of an office building, floor started to rumble and roll, cubicle walls shook.

Pretty wild.

Felt it here in South Jersey.

Had my niece sleeping next to me on the sofa watching the Busy World of Richard Scary (haha). Thought a truck had just driven by on the road. Until the dog ended up at my feet and the bunny started running around his cage. Then I felt it.... interesting. But now we gotta prep for this hurricane.
