I was at work and saw the key rack shaking and the rack behind it and stuff fell off the hook, but if that all hadn't happened I might not have felt it

I felt it in Westchester NY and my DH felt in Danbury CT. Made my office chair jolt and then shake like a big truck had just passed outside. Reminded me of the tremors we used to get when I lived out in Los Angeles.

Am I the only one that experienced that earthquake?? I'm in Northern VA. It scared the crap outta me and my kids. I'm still in here shaking. It's a 5.9.

I thought it was my wash - you know, unbalanced towels causing that helicopter shaking - until......I realized ------DUN, DUN, DUN, DUN -------


I wasn't doing my wash! The vases were shaking, the TV was bobbleling - the drawers were opening....it was weird....I'm in MoCo, MD.

I was at work on the 7th floor of a building.. the building was moving.. it was so weird..

We felt the earthquake here in Southern NJ. The building was swaying and chandeliers. When I got home, I saw a few things had fallen off my shelves. Scary!

We're right down the road from you -- felt it also! Schools cancelled activities on property to "check for damage"...

was in the sixth floor of the federal building in lower Manhattan. building swayed quite a bit.

Breaking news: Washington D. C. has just revealed what every body thought was an Earthquake was really the economy hitting rock bottom.

We felt it at work, really weird sensation. I wasn't scared during, more like in awe of what the heck was happening, then after wards I tried calling my DH and the cell lines were JAMMED! That kind of freaked me out, then I finally got thru and felt alot better.

I am in Charlottesville, Virginia (we are fairly close to the epicenter)
We have a construction site right next door with huge cranes and we all thought that they hit the building at first.
We figured it out when the rumbling continued!

Wasn't the sound weird????? That freaked me out a lot... that and my windows rattling and the walls moving! They are renovating the floor above ours and there have been some mishaps.....my first reaction was WHAT have they done now, then my boss yelled "RUN" so out we went....

Having wine ANd beer now - lo!
