I have two ressies coming up soon. One is a room only, followed by a package. We bought tickets as part of our package, with enough days to cover both reservations since we read that we can pick up our tickets a couple days early, which works perfectly. However, we also have two sets of Magic Bands. Is this going to screw up the chance to get our tickets early? I've read accounts where people are told it's fine, but then others are told all the way up the chain that they can't get the tickets early (not through CRO, but rather when they were already at the parks). So does anyone have enough experience with this to tell me the best way to handle it? Any help is much appreciated!! :thumbsup2

If you call Disney, any phone CM will tell you that package tickets can't be picked up early. And WDW CMs who don't work in Guest Relations are likely to give this answer, too. But the actual WDW CMs who do work at Guest Relations will allow you to get your package tickets up to 3 days in advance of the start of your package. Go to a Guest Relations facility when you arrive at WDW. They are outside each theme park, and 2 outlets at DTD. Show them your resort reservation info, plus photo I.D., and tell them that you're there for early package ticket pick-up. You won't be able to access your package dining or any other items until actual check-in at your resort. There have been continued reports here on the DisBoards from other guests who did early package ticket pick-up as described above and had no issue with it whatsoever.

The Magic Bands act as a "receiver" for info that's in your My Disney Experience file. They aren't the actual place that your MDE files are stored. Think of your MDE file as being stored in an information "cloud." So it doesn't matter which Magic Band you use for either part of your trip. You could use just one of your two Magic Bands for all of the components of your trip, and even re-use Magic Bands from previous trips.
