Day 7 - Dec. 6th

Finally a decent nights sleep, without the kids in the room. We woke up, and while I think dh would have liked to be lazy and just sleep longer, we decided to get up and run to MGM to ride Rockin'Rollercoaster before we met dad and the kids. We were dying to ride this, and knew this may be our last chance. We quick showered and went to catch the boat. Our plan was to get fastpasses, then grab something to eat at Starring Rolls. When we got there
though, the line was only 10 minutes, so we just got in line. WOW!, was the first thing that came to mind, when my head stopped spinning, when we got off. I hate Roller Coasters, but this ride is incredible. The feeling you get when you take off is amazing. We want to go again, but we are starving, and I'm still getting my balance back LOL. I call the campground and tell them to meet us back at our hotel. It usually takes them forever to get
anywhere, so we figured we'd beat them back. We got some breakfast, strolled through a shop or two and caught the boat back to the Beach Club. The boat ride is very pleasant, but it's not the fastest method of transportation there is. This didn't bother us though. When we got back to the room, our kids greeted us, they had sweet-talked a cleaning lady into letting them into the room! Nice security LOL. They did not return empty handed either.
Matthew came back with a Monorail set and some extra track. He is a total train freak, so I knew, even before we left home, that once he saw this, it would be coming home with us. Now he didn't have to spend his money on it. Alexa came back with 4 more beanies! LOL, she just can't resist a beanie. We then strolled over to Epcot, I still can't get over just how close our room is to the park. I love it. We had a minor meltdown with dd first, she
didn't want to go anywhere, except maybe the MK. While she was doing this, grandpa took Matthew out in a water sprite. Matthew had been begging to do this and he had a blast (only to find out he could have even more fun in a faster one, more on this later). I finally got Alexa to agree to go, and we headed out. They had a hopscotch board drawn in chalk in England, so she jumped out and hopped on it a few times, this made her happy. Then our next
order of business was to get fastpasses for Test Track. We were sure Matthew would love this ride. We then bought a few pins, traded a couple pins and wandered over to the Land for lunch. I had heard such wonderful things about their food court. I knew they had potatoes and my picky eater dd loves baked potatoes. So that's what we had, she loved hers, she's love any potato, but I thought they were horrible. They were not fully cooked, darn near
cold, and mine, which had cheese, only had cheese drizzled a small amount over the top. Not the best meal I had on the trip, but it made her happy, so it worked for me. We went to take some pictures in front of Spaceship earth, then split with dad so we could go to the Living Seas. We opted to skip the movie, as I knew Alexa wouldn't like it. They loved looking at the fish, and I love the Manatees. Then I got to show them my old friend Tobe the
dolphin LOL. We were getting close to fastpass time, and it took us much longer to get into the seas then we thought, so we had to go find dad. Word of advice, two way radios do not transmit through 7.7 million gallons of water LOL. Of course Test Track was down when we got there, so our fastpass took a little longer than usual. Probably a good 20 minutes. Matthew was a little nervous, especially when he saw the little pre-show showing what they
were planning to do to the car LOL. He had also seen on the planning video where you almost hit a truck, so that didn't' help. Once the ride was over though, he was in awe! He just loved it. When we were walking out through the gifts shop, a wonderful CM named Bebe, asked him if he had fun. He beamed and said "yeah!". She said, "do you want to ride again?", which of course sent him begging, and me explaining we'd have to get another fastpass and
come back several hours later, or he'd have to ride alone in the singles line. Then she tapped him on the shoulder and motioned to him to follow her. She asked him if he'd like to go again right now, with no wait. He was shocked, I asked how and she said she could give us passes and we could go back up the exit with no wait. I asked dh and dad if they wanted to go again, they were looking at car stuff, and they said sure, so back we went. No
preshow, just up the exit and back into the preshow exit area. We were on in only a few minutes. This made Matthew's day, and we made sure to thank Bebe again. She had true Disney spirit! We had left Alexa with Grandma while we did all this, and it took us forever to get back to them. When we found them Alexa was soaking wet, from playing in the fountains. Luckily I had some extra clothes. Before I put them on though, we went to see the
fountains by HISTA. They loved these fountains, and had a ball. I guess Alexa decided Epcot isn't so bad. We got her dry clothes and headed off to wander back to the International Gateway. We stopped partway for a bathroom break, and while we were waiting for grandma to come back, I turned to ask Alexa how her loose tooth is doing. Just as I opened my mouth to ask, she threw it at my feet LOL. Wow, not everyone can say they lost a tooth at
Epcot LOL. She was wiping blood all over her face so I had to run her in to the bathroom to wipe her off. When we got back, we discovered that the Test Track pin we had just bought for our son, was already gone. Somewhere between Test Track and the World Showcase, his pin fell off his lanyard. He was very upset, so we told him we'd just buy a new one. The CM's at the next booth we stopped at were less than sympathetic, but were more than happy
to sell us a new one and tell us to make sure the back was on tight. We headed out and went to have dinner at Beaches and Cream. The waitresses here are so nice! She told us they have the best burgers on property, and I told her the internet agreed. When we were served dh and dad agreed as well. After dinner we headed to the Marketplace to shop. This place was more crowded than the parks. A total zoo. The stores were hot and crowded, so we
only went to the World of Disney (which took over an hour) and then left. Back to the hotel and back to bed, we were really tired tonight. Tomorrow we didn't really have plans yet, so I told dad we'd call him in the morning.

Its so great when Disney magic takes over and sprinkles pixie dust on your day! You were very lucky getting to do Test Track again w/o a wait. I imagine your dd will have quite a story to tell about her tooth! :D

What a wonderful experience at Test Track. :)

Was Alexa excited about losing her tooth at Epcot?

Thanks for sharing your trip with us, elgerber. :)

Alexa was pretty cool about losing her tooth at Epcot. I think I made a bigger deal of it than she did LOL. She was sure the tooth fairy would find her and give her another Disney dollar though, thank goodness the toothfairy had a couple left.

Erika

Glad to hear that the tooth fairy found your dd. Thanks for posting!
