E-ticket night and EE questions

Hi all,

Are E-ticket nights incuded in the Ultimate/DreamMaker packages, or do they cost extra? As one who actually *remembers* going to Disneyland and using the old ticket books with the A,B,C,D, and E tickets, I assume these E-ticket nights are just for the Magic Kingdom...? How do they clear the park at 10:00 for regular ticket holders and open the park at 10:00 for E-ticketers?

Oh yeah, and I forgot to post my EE question... How do I find out which parks open early on the days we'll be in Orlando? I assume this is also a perk for Ultimate/DreamMaker pass holders?

And while I'm at it, I may as well ask when DisneyQuest opens---I can't find that info on the website.

Hi Lidja. I have never done the Ultimate Dream Maker package, so I am not 100% certain, however I am pretty sure that E-night tickets will be extra for you and not included with any package. Only guests staying on property can purchase E-night tickets. These are just for MK. In my experience they don't actually clear the park out. What happens is after the official park closing, only those people with wristbands are allowed on the rides (non e-night rides are closed at this time). You get the wristband by turning your e-ticket in at 1 of 3 locations within MK after 4:00 pm. If you do not have a wristband you will not be allowed to ride, however you can linger in the stores and make your way down Main Street. Some people have reported that CM's have reminded non e-ticket folks that the park is closed and help corral them out of the park, but I've never witnessed that personally.

As far as EE, currently it is a set schedule:

Sunday-MK
Monday-AK
Tuesday-MGM
Wednesday-Epcot
Thursday-MK
Friday-AK
Saturday-MGM

They did test out some new EE/E-ticket programs in May, but as of right now they are sticking with the standard EE program. This has nothing to do with what package you are on. It is available to anyone who is staying on site at a Disney Resort.

I have never been to DQ, so I cannot answer that question, but I'm sure someone else can help you out.

EE (as well as E-Night) is for anyone staying on Disney property!

It doesn't matter if you have an AP, a PHP, a PH, a dream maker package, no package, or any kind of ticket to get into the 4 Kingdoms, you can do EE (and E-Night) as long as you're staying at on property and can present your valid room card.

If you're off property, you can't attend EE (or E-Night). I do know that we had to show our room cards b/c we have AP's and were staying on-site.

We did the Ultimate PHP pkg. in 2000 and we had to purchase our E-Night tix then.

We just got back from WDW yesterday and while there, we purchased E-night tix ... for 2 adults and 1 child, it came to approx. $35 dollars (prob. closer to $32, though). It was well worth it. I think the longest we waited for a ride was 10 mins. It was amazing to be in the park w/so few people!! Remember that your dining options will be quite limited and only a few stores on Main Street USA will be open. We were in line w/people who thought that everything would be up and running. There are 8 rides to choose from inc.: Haunted Mansion, Buzz Lightyear, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, Mickey's Philharmagic, Pooh's Adventure, and Peter Pan's Flight. Peter Pan's Flight and Pooh's Adventure were the busiest of all the rides.

Check out allearsnet.com and wdwinfo.com for Disney Quest info. I'm not sure if it opens at 10:00am or 11:30am. Seems to be conflicting times on some sites.

I found this little blurb buried in my Birnbaum's guide:
"Imagine having the Magic Kindgom practically to yourself for an entire evening. It can happen if you're a WDW resort guest with a multi-day pass and about $13 to spare (about $11 for kids). The E-Ride pass lets you stay in the Magic Kingdom after it closes to enjoy the park's best attractions time and time again. It's available on select nights throughout the year, so ask about it when you check in." (p.17)

I guess we'll give it a try next week...!

Just remember that the Birnbaum's Guide is the "Official" WDW guidebook...meaning that you don't always get the most down-to-earth answers.

Only a handful of WDW attractions are open for the E Ride Nights, but they do sell several thousand tickets for the event.

You might want so search these forums for recent posts regarding the E Ride Nights, and then make a decision as to whether it's worth the additional money to you.
