DVD / VCR combo recommendations?

We need a new VCR & DVD player so we thought we'd get a DVD/VCR combo unit - any recommendations? There are a ton out there and not all have enough reviews on the websites for me to feel comfortable with, or else they all seem to have very mixed reviews, regardless of the price. So if we can find a decent one for less than $150 I don't care what brand name is on it. Have one you like? Let us know!

If you are going to make that investment, get a DVD/VCR recorder. You can dub one from another, dub your home video's onto DVD, etc. I have a Sansui (sp) because it was the only one out when we bought it several years ago.
