DVC Resale Welcome Package - How long?

We have just officially signed the closing documents for the purchase of 75 points at Wilderness Lodge Villas!!!

Does anyone have any input as to how long it takes from the closing to receive your welcome package, etc, etc? Can't wait to book our first trip as DVC members!!!

DVC has to make you a member. I think it is around 3 week to 3 months...

when you guide (or resalers) says that everything is gone through - give MS a call. they will need your SSN.

In my case, we Fed Ex'd our closing docs back on a Monday, closed 2 days later and were in the DVC system and able to make reservations 9 days after closing. This was back in the summer and at the time people closing on resale contracts were being told to wait 7-10 days before contacting DVC to make reservations. Your broker should be able to give you some idea what to expect since the timeframe varies based on DVC Admin's current workload.

I don't remember when the welcome package arrived but my membership cards arrived about a month after we closed.
