DVC Discount for Disney Magazine

I saw a thread on the US DVC Board about the Disney Magazine. Someone emailed DVC about the magazine and got this email back.

As a Disney Vacation Club member you receive a 2 year subscription to the Disney Magazine for $10.
To subscribe you will need to call 800-333-8734 ext 4501 and ask for offer LDVC01.

Have a Disney day.

I haven't but I will be trying this now!
I've been trying to get hold of the Disney magazine for ages but haven't been able to find anyone that would deliver to the UK. Will give it a try!

Hi! I used to receive The Disney Magazine as a perk of the old Magic Kingdom Club. Since the club closed I have been trying to get it again.

In December 2003 I filled in the coupon in the magazine I had in my room at The Beach club and sent it in but never recieved a copy. So when I heard about the DVC offer I called and ordered it and STILL never received it. They used to send it to the UK and according to the person on the phone they would, but it has never arrived. I dont think we were ever charged for it.

I guess I should call and try AGAIN! It is a great magazine.

I had a subscription when I was a member of the MKC and even before that. They sent it to the Netherlands via a redistributor so I used to get it about 2 months late!! But I did get it.

On the subscription form there is a note with "rest of the world" mailing rates... but it does put the price up by about 200% It's even shown on the internet site where you can subscribe.

Hi everyone,

Well I just rang to order this...and it is a bit different to the offer quoted.

Because we are not in the US it is $33.95 for a two year subscription, so I signed up because by the time my call was answered (at International dialling rates!) it had probably already cost me that anyway

She took my credit card details so hopefully all will be OK! I'll let you know if it ever turns up!

this is the same rate that's quoted on the internet for foreign subscriptions. So it's no discount for overseas DVC members.... Maybe it would be a good idea to let DVC know, as far as I know it doesn't say anywhere that it's only for US-DVC. I don't mind paying extra for the postage but with a normal subscription that's only $10. The DVC discount on the US sub is 50%!


There's us paying all that money to go far, far away for our holidays, when our US cousins can pop down for a weekend and we can't even get a cheap Disney fix via the magazine

It's not fair!!!

Thanks for trying this though, now I'll just subscribe in the usual way.
