Hello...

This is our first time driving down - leaving approx. 3 pm in the afternoon. Can anyone out there tell me where they have stopped along the way? SHould we stop at St. Stephen NB the first night or go right through to Bangor? We plan to pull off the highway each evening between 6-7 pm.

Would like to know some good places to stay, eat, etc.

Thanks so much for all your help ! I love these boards!

We drove from Halifax to Orlando 2 years ago (and are attempting it again in the summer). We left HFX at 5:00 am and got to Boston the first night (around 5:00). The second day, same thing, we got up early and drove to Fayettevill, NC - that took longer than expected as we ran into 2 hour delays on the beltway in DC. That was a 16 hour day (very long). But, the third day, we were on the road by 8:00 and got into Orlando around 2:30 pm. Our kids were 3 and 6 at the time, and the drive wasn't a big deal. This is the website I used to help plan. It lists gas prices, ammenities, etc at each rest stop and exit along I-95 ww.usastar.com/i95/mileage.html

If you can drive to Bangor the first night, you could make your second night near Fredericksburg, VA or Richmond VA. and third day you would be there by supper or so. Good luck.
