Driving Advice from Ft Worth to Ft Wilderness

Hi! My best friend and her husband will be driving to WDW with their 4 kids, pulling their tt the first week of June. This will be their first trip to WDW. They will be staying 8 days/7 nights and have 7 day park hopper passes. They are planning on spending the first day at the campground and have dinner reservations at HDD for 7:00. Any advice as to how to break up the drive there? They only want to spend 1 night on the way down. Any suggestions for places to stop? And on their way home, they'd love to spend most of the last day in the parks. Any advice how they can do that and still make it home by the night after they leave? Thanks for any advice/suggestions!! I'm doing all of their planning and would love to offer them some educated opinions!
