Is there a specific dress code? We will be in the park that day but don't want to be underdressed for dinner. What do you suggest?

I was there about a week ago and nearly every male there was in khakis or dress shorts and a polo. I saw a few women in light dresses or shorts and dressy tank tops (is that really possible?). It was surprisingly warm (80 or so) for a December evening.

Here is the dress "code":

Just concentrate on what few items are actually "not permitted"--almost anything else IS permitted!! And this isn't the actual dress code you will find on the Disney site. There, nothing is "required" and you are just "asked" to adhere to the dress code.

So don't overdress unless you want to.

And to add that you will see as many--if not more--cargo and casual shorts as you well actual dress shorts.

And the tank top restriction is for men.

Thanks! I have seen the code but was curious what most people wear. It has been years since I have eaten here. Thanks again!

I'd say about 2/3 (give or take) are in the suggested code range--with again the "dress shorts" being just as often casual/cargo shorts.

But having been there you know that no one will be giving you a second glance.

When we do a Signature dinner, we freshen up and change before dinner.
I usually wear linen capri's, s dressy blouse and nice sandals. DH & DS wear a collared sport shirt and dress shorts.
It is a fine dining experience and we like to dress up just a bit.
Enjoy.

We just went... DH wore jeans, a button down shirt, and dress shoes. I wore jeans, a dressy top, and heels. I felt dressed just right.

There really isn't any dress code. They will let you in as long as you don't show up in a swimsuit, torn clothing or you're a guy and you wear a tank top (although sometimes guys with tank tops do make it in.)

Just pay attention to the few items that are not permitted? That's great! I'll wear my pajamas on the next trip, that way I'll be ready for bed without having to change clothes again!

Pure snark, of course; I have no intention of doing that. But I do want to point out the inherent danger of the "I can do anything I want so long as Disney doesn't specifically tell me I can't" attitude. Some people do love to test the limits, donchaknow!

Well--I have seen folks in gym suits and running clothes at Signatures--so pj's wouldn't be too far off the mark.

Actually tho I think it would be a given that "sleepwear" would not need to even be specifically mentioned. Same for just "underwear":)

Tho I'm told some folks now do wear their pj's when they go out out shopping:)

I do assume they are going to turn away guests in pajamas, underwear, g-strings, Vegas showgirl costumes or just nude, even though it doesn't specifically say those are prohibited.

But they will let you in if you show up in shorts, a tee shirt and tennis shoes, as long as none of it is torn and your tee shirt isn't considered offensive.

The only place I've seen a bunch of Disney guests in pajamas (excepting little kids of course) are the club level lounges.

This is us as well except DH wears usually khaki style slacks.

I have seen people all dressed up and really dressed down (basketball shorts) and it doesn't seem anyone bats an eye.

This info is good to know! I have been to Yachtsman when I was younger (and cannot remember what we wore) but haven't been in a while. I have been under the impression that "dress code" meant tie, suit, etc. for men and dresses for women! Ha. I knew my hubby would never wear a suit to dinner but now it may be an option since he almost only wears jeans and cargos anyway!

We were there back in May and at around 6:30, I noticed the majority of people wearing jeans and nice looking shorts. I didn't notice really anybody "dressed up". You can wear whatever you wore in the park, just try to freshen up a little before you go in.

The only Disney restaurant with a code of that type is Victoria & Alberts - men must wear jackets (tie not required) and women dresses or pants suits (yes pants suits are fine).

DH usually wears khaki shorts and polo shirt. I usually wear a sundress or dressier Bermuda shorts with a nice top and sandals. DD I usually put in a sundress.

I totally do the same thing. When we dine at a signature, or any sit down outside the parks, I like to dress a little. It feels good to refresh and look cute. :)

DH and I ate there in April and he wore khakis and a polo shirt and men's dress shoes. I wore a light "summery" dress and dressy sandals. We did not feel overdressed. :goodvibes

It helped that we were staying at YC, so easily went to our room to shower and change after dropping the kids off at sandcastle club. :thumbsup2

We we'd coming from DHS that day and will need to decide what to wear. Thanks everyone!
